Nintendo Source code leak - source for games, DS emulator, prototypes and more

I have seen pictures of rooms that were used for promotional images of Zelda 64, a lot of sprites of StarFox and the most important: uncompressed "SO LONG GAY BOWSER!"

I know the SM64 PC port has a mod that replaces the sound effects with higher quality versions. Now they can use the actual uncompressed versions of the sounds. Neat!

Animal crossing has a pretty interesting history behind it. The first version was released in April 14, 2001 with the more improved version coming out months later in December 14, 2001. It will be interesting to see the changes made.
It would be really interesting to see if there's mention of "Blazel" and/or what she was intended to be. (She's a character found in the enhanced version Doubutsu no Mori+ but it would be pretty cool if anything was found in the original.)

chewie, we're home.

I hope we find versions of these two places. I would love to see how the former works (see gif).

I guess keep your expectations in check. Also the archive uploaded has a bunch of corrupted stuff.

The only corrupt stuff is the Zelda files, or maybe not, it's hard to get good information because everyone and their mom is going full retard because of Luigi shitposting. I'd help but tbh N64 games aren't my jam so I don't really care the N64 autists can bicker amongst themselves
It's not surprising there's only localization related assets seeing as these were on iQue servers. They had no use for older assets, so why would Nintendo give it to them?
Personally I think they scrubbed some info, it's possible since for some of the Pokemon Gen 3 leaks there was a bit of stuff missing, nothing super major, but some things that were shown in screenshots beforehand weren't there. Gotta remember the people sitting on these Nintendo files are Literally Tranny Hoarders.

Also someone created an English version of the Shindou Edition. But i can't get rumble to work and some of the audio is fucked with.

Been playing the Super Mario Kart Prototype. It's pretty cool.

-levels are in a different order so far
-HUD is different
-some of the music is different.
*Main Theme is different.
*The Ghost level track is completely different. I don't know Super Mario Kart incredibly well but I don't think I've heard the music before in Mario Kart.
*Winning themes are different (Yoshi's is the same but way more basic).
*Bowser's level in the first cup has a completely different track

On the 4th race of the first cup so far. It seems a bit more difficult than regular Mario Kart. On top of that though is fighting the game because well it's a prototype. The physics are wonky (Good luck on any stage with little jumps). Weapons have a 50-50 shot of working. The red shell for instance will just spin around the other driver and not connect.

I haven't found the files myself, but apparently there's a list of staff's address and phone numbers somewhere in the Animal Crossing files.

The /v/irgins discovered that the back of the OOT box is just a copy-paste from the back of the NBA Courtside box.

Luigi phasing in and out of reality in that video combined with the whole 2401 coincidence just makes me reminded of Jurassic park, yes we can do it, but we never stopped to ask if we should do it.
Also life finds a way and shit.

The new romhacks people are gonna make inspired by this leak are going to be pretty cool. Maybe somebody can finally complete a Mario 64 beta restoration now.
Probably not. Since anyone using these leaks for their hacks will probably get C&D by Nintendo. They might be able to get away if they "leak" a ROM file and no explanation on how the hack was done. Like how the PC port sm64 was leaked.

Here's how to pull out the latest copies of all these CVS files (the ones ending in ,v), just to get these instructions conveniently written down in one place.
First, get a CVS client. If you're on Windows as you should be, try CVSNT:
Download the "WinCVS" package, but you really only need to install CVSNT to get the command-line tools.

Using the "bbleaks.7z" as an example:
1. Extract the files somewhere.
2. Open up a command prompt, create a directory where you want the files to go, and CD to that directory.
3. Set the CVSROOT environment variable to the path of your depot. (This should have a CVSROOT directory directly under it)
SET CVSROOT=(whatever your path is to the extracted files)\d1\routefree\bbgames\depot

4. Check out the files:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\cvsnt\cvs.exe" -N checkout .
Everything will be copied out to your current directory.

The -N option is needed if you have your depot somewhere on a network location, as I do. You may or may not need this.
