I know it was never "definitive" for many reasons, but it's even funnier now that you can buy "Definitive Edition" and then have to pay extra to upgrade it. Words, what do they mean?

At least when Capcom abuses modern English's penchant for excessive suffixes when it's coming up with new versions of Super Street Fighter II Turbo Alpha EX Plus Championship Edition Mega Ultra Hyper FUCKYEAH 2.0 Third Release Season 2 Episode 5™ it's a bit tongue-in-cheek and kinda funny. And they only charged a quarter at a time to play that shit (until arcades went to $0.50 per game anyway). And had the courtesy of adding at least something new, whether minor or major, each time they made the poor arcade operators change out all the fucking marquees and ROM chips :story:

So out of all the Xenoblade games they 'upgrade' it's the one that runs at 1080p on Switch 1? XC2 is genuinely unplayable at parts, and XC1:DE drops to fucking 480p in parts.

EDIT: Not fixing the emoji, I'm salty.

60fps was already in the game code at release last year, and a sequel on switch 2 is likely to be announced very soon. The other games probably need a lot more work than just a simple res bump and turning on of a 60fps option that already existed. They are charging money for this btw.
You guys poor or something?

Maybe you should stick to Tiger Electronics. Leave the real games to the adults.
Do you have anything meaningful to contribute?

Apparently it's not even real upressing, its got horrid DLSS artifacts on everything now

Digital ver was on sale at amazon for $40 so bought that and the upgrade, only Xeno game I haven't played so it's nice to have a long game to kill time with

Stop buying terrible Pokemon games at full retail price and nickel-and-dime upgrades that you know took the bare minimum amount of work and remasters that cost $60 yet are only marginally better that the originals if we’re lucky all in the name of childhood nostalgia to escape your miserable adult lives because you can’t be bothered to find better games made by devs whose priority is to make an actually fun game or take 10 minutes to learn how to use an emulator so you don’t get resold the same game twenty times at increasingly high prices STOP IT NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!!!!!

So don't buy or play it. Not my problem that niggercattle are going to buy it anyways.

You know that there are emulators for varying qualities for this, right?

Seriously, you can play some of them in your browser

Emulation is illegal you retard. I'd rather play the games on my superior Nintendo hardware.

If you can't pay twenty bucks for Firered/Leafgreen you need to work more.

Bait used to be believable, please do better, shame on you.

Emulation is not illegal, despite what Nintendo tries to tell you.

Nintendo could sell Super Mario Brothers 1 for a full 70 fucking dollars and these people would be proud of paying for it.

I'm not even against the idea of official rereleases of older games, Capcom actually does it pretty well:
The Ace Attorney Trilogy + Investigations Trilogy + Apollo Justice Trilogy + Ghost Trick collections took the old GBA and DS roms' machine code and ported them natively to new consoles and PC, added HD, redrawn art and animations and QOL features, all for $30 with pretty frequent sales. Currently Ace Attorney Trilogy costs $9 dollars.

Investigations 2 and Great Ace Attorney, a three games that never left Japan, got full English translations and graphical overhauls as well.
Even fucking Konami did a better job:

$25 for 7 games with 12 versions, multi-language support, QOL features.
Nintendo fans are literally applauding getting bent over and wallet-raped by Nintendo for so little value.
