For what it is worth, this doesn't make a dent in my finances. Then again, Nintendo people seem to hate me as much as non-Nintendo people.

Neither in my finances but the question is (although I hope I know the answer considering this place) are you someone who considered the pros and cons with some sensible decision-making: "I use my switch daily so with the backwards compatibility it makes sense and I can sell my old console to offset the cost" for example or are you, and I met someone like that once, someone who said: "I have to pay child support to my ex-girlfriend, but I will buy the Switch 2, and I am going to play Mario Kart and who will be laughing then".

The issue with Nintendo fans is that there is no fact based decision-making. That big fucking red N is a Manchurian Candidate trigger. Or childhood trauma because without Nintendo their life is meaningless.

I don't use my Switch all the time. But I do enjoy the new Nintendo games when they come out and would like to play them. Say what you want, but they usually deliver a polished product.

The upgrades for old games are compelling to me. The kids are out of the house so the wife can use the old Switch as a full time Animal Crossing/Advance Wars machine. And we will both enjoy Mario Kart. Driving around like in Burnout Paradise is pretty cool.

I'm not going to pretend to be a typical customer. We have the time and the money. Work is light anymore what with semi-retirement. We are aging video game nerds. Mostly PC though. We play a lot of Deep Rock Galactic and Satisfactory.

That’s cool man. My kids are in middle school and love games like Pokemon and Animal Crossing. My wife use to do alot more gaming than she does now. Her two favorite games are Final Fantasy X and Dragon Warrior VII. But she likes to play other games in those franchises.

I also don’t play my switch heavily. Prefer my Steam deck. But the exclusives i like from Nintendo, are some of my favorite games of all time. I don’t want to buy the new Switch until it gets a year under it’s belt with accessories, games, and my existing 3rd party library is playable and patched.

However if I didn’t have a Steamdeck, i would have just played on the Switch since i hate sitting at a desk to play games. And that’s coming from someone who has a 20 year old steam account.

Even including every single dumbass Koopaling was a better idea. Who on the planet looks at this roster and thinks "boy oh boy I can't wait to play as the forgettable cow roadblock enemy from Moo Moo Meadows"?

So let me get this straight...

A game, where you use your hands to steer the wheels of the race kart, is going to feature playable characters that not only don't have hands but don't have arms either.

This is a classic case of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should".
