There's some fuckery going on with Japanese 3rd party cartridges - most of them seem to utilize the "game card". I'm not entirely sure if this is a localized thing right now, still looking into it.

This was one of the things I was worried about, all of the third parties choosing this because it's the cheapest cartridge option. We'll have to see if consumers will still buy them because I know I won't.

can I just point out that this random ass site was calling it shit before anything was even known about it lmfao?

At least I think that was before the trailers

It will apparently differ from region to region, if posts like this are anything to go by. You'll still have stupid examples like Bravely Default being on a game card, though.

EDIT:
Checked on Amazon UK, and sure enough it lacks the game card bar on the box art.

Nintendo has over 11 billion dollars in the bank and no debts that need to be paid off. They could fuck up so badly they're losing half a billion dollars a year and it would still take 20 years for them to be even close to going bankrupt.

I feel kinda sorry for FAST Fusion. It looks like a good futuristic racer, but anyone who buys a Switch 2 at launch and remotely cares about racing games will immediately go for Mario Kart World, and anyone who has NSO+E will be testing out GameCube with F-Zero GX.
Fast Racing League, Fast Racing Neo and FastRMX were amazing. I bought both on their launch day and had no regrets. RMX was basically an upgrade of Neo but the new levels were great.

I am as excited for Fusion as I am for Mario Kart and will be buying it.

At this point in time I enjoy the actual racing in the Fast games as much as F-Zero and it is an excellent sister series. No other high speed racing games like Redout and Wipeout come as close to F-Zero as Fast does. And Fast even does the sense of speed better than F-Zero but mostly due to being able to use newer post processing effects.

I've got no reason to doubt that Fast Fusion will be anything other than excellent. Do not sleep on this game.

Let’s talk about digital assets outside your control.

When I was a kid, I think when like Jesus was roaming the earth and dinosaurs were buttfucking each other, I had nonstop cds and tapes that I thought would last forever. Except, you know, they didn’t. I try to play my Goonies tape and it explodes my VCR.

I think, maybe hear me out here, corporates regardless of DRM and other legal quagmire, should have a law of some kind where if you buy digital only game/movie/etc should have it where you are entitled, regardless of legal issues and the like, should be handed to the customer via download until the earth and humanity dies.

Now, you may be asking “what if the company gets liquidated?” Then we should receive a physical copy of such media in such a situation.

I’m cool with the world being digital in purchase in that case. I hate the idea that Nintendo is just selling out plastic boxes to vendors. Shit, nigga, just make everything online now except my ability to play a single player game I downloaded.

They should have released it on PC instead of going all in on Switch 2, if they did then there's a good chance people like me who are sci fi racing junkies would scoop it up on Steam or something (assuming there's a good discount of course). The only sci fi racing game that we should have gotten for the Switch 2 launch is F-Zero GX 2, but at this point I'm glad they aren't making an F-Zero GX 2 because it prevents me from wanting to own a Switch 2 in any way.

By all logic this should've been a stacked launch, but it's painfully mid if not bad. I'm just confused, do they not wanna sell the thing?
Not only is Switch 2 going to sell, it's going to break records. Every single person vowing to "boycott Nintendo" will buy this at or around launch. If not, they'll buy on Black Friday or sometime in the next year. Especially if they're "content creators" or "Nintendo ambassadors". Mario Kart World will also sell exponentially well years after the bundle deal ends this Fall.

The thing to remember is that this isn't the Wii U situation. People know what the Switch 2 is and "hardcore" gamers don't have a bad taste in their mouth from the Switch branding like they apparently do with the Wii brand. As long as there's a Mario Kart, Animal Crossing or a Splatoon available, Nintendo will be fine and they know it. Also most people on the Switch didn't have a Wii U like we did, so those games you brought up were brand new experiences to them anyway. Recall that there are a good number of people who still don't that BOTW is a Wii U game in the first place.

Star Fox, Metroid and franchises like that are for old people like you and me. We don't matter much anymore because we're old. It's the young ones that matter and they don't care as much about these. They want Mario Kart, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, apparently Tomodachi Life and to play up to three 3rd party games to make them feel like they aren't getting completely shafted by them really being made for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC audiences. The new 3D Mario and 3D Zeldas are definitely on their way and they'll probably be fun, but it's not like it was back then where these were absolute MUST games for Nintendo launches.

This is the fourth game in the FAST series, and they’ve all been Nintendo-exclusive for some reason. RMX was even a launch title for the Switch like Fusion is for the Switch 2.

Anyone here in the US manage to get one? I heard that Target's site shit the bed, and Best Buy apparently fucked up and didn't actually have it up for sale until 12:30 AM EDT, when they should have started at 12:00 AM. Apparently Walmart's site also shit the bed, but that is nothing unexpected.

How these places can do Black Friday, Cyber Monday, go through various console launches, and still get this shit wrong, is beyond me.

Also, was the Bravely Default Remaster available for pre-order? It seems to be the only one not for pre-order anywhere.

I got mine via Best Buy. Zero problems other than the delay.
