Well, one of the major experts on jailbreaking the Switch looked at the Switch 2 design and said he doesn't think its reasonable to try and jailbreak it in any way.
Its not like they are gonna go public and say they are gonna hack it day one now is it, that would be very stupid. You can be sure they are gonna hack it as fast they get their hands on the switch2.

Hardware wise its like a PS4 that was released in 2013, and it cost nearly as much as a PS5, so yeh its fucking over priced a lot. On top of that you have over priced baby games and all third party games sold as key-cards, that dont have the game on them at all. This is worst than the WiiU, the nintyfanboys are about to find out how bad its gonna be.
that comparison doesnt make much sense seeing as how the switch was around ps3 if not weaker, and $350

Don't worry it will be figured out eventually. But not before you pay the toll, lie about it for a while and then deny you ever bought a Switch 2 once they finally hack the thing.

:story:
They still haven't even hacked Switch 1 outside of the old models, have they? I'd love to hack my Lite but I don't think it ever happened.

As for getting a Switch 2, they're gonna need to actually announce games for it first lol

Nontondo convinced people a hardware that would be considered low-end 12 years ago is worth 450 dollars.

Switch 2 runs Street Fight below 480p, Cybertruck 2077 runs at 23fps. How big of a fucking retard you need to be to say with a straight face this garbage is worth 450 Dollars?
easy to say it with a straight face, as a portable console its stronger than the steamdeck for about $50 more, I still don't see the problem

Ain't no way Switch is weaker than PS3.

Later switch revisions can be hacked with a mod chip soldered in
Yeah but that's a hassle.

Where's this "stronger than Steam Deck" stuff coming from?

My god this thread is diseased. Of course a bunch of the Nintoddlers still end up pre-ordering the damn thing and thus the 80 dollar games will actually live on. This has gotta be one of the worst launch windows in console history, right? You've got all the time in the world to make a new 3D Mario or even something like a Luigi's Mansion type of game, that would be perfect, have 4 or 5 AA-level first party titles to snack on, but no, all you get is a not really gratifying Mario Kart and a couple of Switch 1 add-ons. If you have a Switch (and one probably does, unlike the Wii U which nobody bought), I still don't understand why you grab this thing. Even the Switch 1 had a better launch lineup despite being basically one fucking game.

35 dollars for a fucking plug and cord. At this point we should be thanking our lucky stars that Nintendo doesn't make you buy it seperately like Apple does, Nintendo would totally pull that stunt too if they think they'd get away with it.
They're jewing people for a gamecube controller to play a pathetically low amount of GC games at launch - but the gamecube controllers still don't have analog triggers. When two of the games on offer (that I already have on Dolphin with better graphics, performance, cheats, and QoL) require analog triggers for seperate functions (Luigi's mansion and Mario Sunshine). I find that to be hilarious. When they inevitably repost TP to ""celebrate"" its 20th anniversary next year, I'll already be playing it (and am) for free on Dolphin. Thank you Dolphin, for saving me rupees...

You want to pirate hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of software but the relatively simple process of soldering in a chip is too much of a hassle?

Is it possible to pirate things that are pirated? I guess it's just theft at that point.

Yes.

Seriously?! That's insane. I know for a fact they can still make perfectly accurate GC controllers because they did for Wii U, iirc.

The old models are all softmods, which, of course, is what everyone wants, no hardware involvement. At a minimum normies need a cart type mod, such as was seen with the GB, GBC, GBA, DS, & 3DS, before the softmods were discovered for some of those systems.

You can hack any model of Switch using a PicoFly:

But, as you can see from the link above, it requires a lengthy and complicated process for installation that requires precision microsoldering. This is way beyond the typical normie. Also, the glitch it relies on is a basically a type of chip "glitching" using voltage spiking, which can destroy your Switch. The PicoFly is designed for that not to happen, but I have seen many Switches drop dead for no reason, with perfect soldering, so it seems to be an inherent hazard of the process through which the PicoFly works.

So, even with the Switch 1, the state of "hacking" for later models is poor, at best.

Have you tried holding a PS3 in your hand? Its sub-Virtual Boy levels of portable. Switch had some very clever uses of tech to get the form factor and battery life it did, though obviously compromises were made. The big issue here is game prices. 80 or 90 dollars or euros is far too much.

They already did that with the 3DS. In europe australia and japan it didn't came with a wall charger, only in the us had it packed in; but when the 3DS XL released, nintendo didn't bundled the ac adaptor for any region.

Wait, they're making you guys pay in Euros what we pay in USD? That's outrageous. You guy's are essentially paying something like a 15% premium.

Donkey Kong Bananza is really the only reason to preorder a switch 2 rn. Mario Kart just looks okay. Fine as a side dish but not the main course you feel me? Problem is, it comes out a month after the switch 2 launches. And Kirby? Much later this year.

I forgot all about Kirby since it's a racing spinoff. I guess that's something, at some point...
