So the numbers are out and the shit2 is a complete hit far surpassing nintendo's sales expectations. All despite the high price, the defects, the lineup being mostly old games, the insane DRM....................gamers just eat shit with a spoon nowadays.
Nintendo fans are a different breed dude. They're like the Disney adults of gaming. Miyamoto could shit in a box and sell it and people would be online saying you'd own one too if you weren't too poor to get the extra 40$ deluxe corn kernel edition.

That's what's actually funny, like I could get mac users since a decent mac you can actually do real shit with is at least $1500, nearly $10k is you want to do AI, but $400 wont even get you a good mid-end android phone, not even the baseline iphone, how can any nintendo fan look at anyone and say not be willing to pay $400 for a hunk of shit tablet with a plastic screen means you're poor and not that they are the ones too poor to afford a steam deck? let alone a proper gaming PC which these days can easily get to $2k.

But yeah I agree they'll buy anything with the logo, I knew one like that and he got the wiiu.

There's also Fast RMX on the switch 1, which saddly never got ported anywhere else, and apparently just got a sequel for the Switch 2 called Fast Fusion? A Third Party Dev is going out of their way to give Nintendo exclusives and they don't even bother to advertise them.
I gave the Fast games a recommendation earlier in the thread. Will do so again.

They are great fun!

I got one too. :C

Didn't it get emulated like a year after launch or something?

If Donkey Kong lays eggs as the ostrich, did the eggs come from his uterus?

Edit: Die in a fire, EPD8 deniers, the game literally uses parts of the Odyssey UI, its practically Odyssey 2.
Didn’t we already more or less know that this was being done by the Odyssey team?

The game looks fun, though the young Pauline makes me worried about stumbling onto some vile shit. Is DK supposed to be older than Mario?

Yes, but there were a bunch of deniers refusing to accept it even though the now totally confirmed Donkey Kong rumors were that the Odyssey team was making it, the game looked like their output, there were only 5 or so internal teams capable of making a game like that and 4 of them were accounted for or otherwise ruled out, etc, etc, etc. Now it uses copious amounts of Odyssey UI elements and I bet there's still some people out there who refuse to believe it.

Gotta say, DK Bananza does look really awesome. What with all the environmental destruction and the like. Not sure what people are complaining about.

Still not enough for me to pick up a Switch 2 just yet, but when I do, it’ll definitely be a game I play.
Had a discussion with a friend when the direct first dropped.

He was convinced "destructable environments" could not be done on the Switch 1. I pointed out the existence of a game called Red Faction, which was a PS2 game.

Although I'm still not sure who is right, as I remember Red Faction's environments being kind of a gimmick that you couldn't actually do much with.

Call me optimist but I heard the number come from vendors and shop stocking.. If that true, we just wait for a few months to see if they refill or not

Funny how this has better destruction than Crackdown 3, which was advertised entirely around the destruction features.

Well, we're overdue for an good Wario game, anyways. When was the last original one besides "Shake It!"?
Nintendo disbanded R&D 1 in the early 2000s. They were basically the Wario & 2D Metroid team at that point, and were on an absolute tear releasing Wario Land 3, 4, the original Wario Ware, Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission all within a four year span. However, a new division absorbed the team in 2004 headed by Iwata whose purpose was to supervise second party development. That's why 2D Metroid and Wario Land are basically dead and the occasional releases that DO come out aren't even developed in house.

The only reason Shake It got made is because Good Feel wanted to make a Wario Land game. It sold like shit, so I think the series is dead, unfortunately.
