I wouldn’t go that far. Especially given just how barren the Wii U’s first year was.

But I do agree that their price-gouging is extremely stupid.

Still, I'd say that others like Konami, EA, Sony, and Activision are worse.

But people are definitely doomposting and such, for better or worse.

I mean, I can see where they're coming in terms of the Pokemon situation, but not so much the Mario one, now that I learned about all the upgrades and such they are planning to add to it.

Yes in every aspect of the industry:
* Price gouging that will likely be made a norm by other companies.
* IP/Patent whoring and suing that makes Disney look tame.
* Puts niggers and tranny propaganda to their games marketed primarily for kids (WE WUZ FIRE EMBLEMZ).
* Uninspired games based on dopamine and reiterating on the same formula for at least a decade.

It's basically an unholy combination of every bad thing about gaming corporations. Only worse because at least Sony and Microsoft don't label themselves as the child friend option.

Nintendo games are released now and finish later, and as things get finished they release these "upgrades" as free content or sell it as dlc. Just take a look at games like Pokemon, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Animal Crossing and more, these games are basically live service games. Remember when Nintendo called their mobile games free to start?, thats their mantra for the future.

I still like their games, and honestly think that they aren’t nearly as bad as other companies when it comes to DEI crap, and I am even a fan of several of the new gameplay styles that they seem to be experimenting with.

But I do concur wholeheartedly on the price-gouging and patenting crap that they have very unfortunately started doing.

With that said, I still don’t consider them to be the absolute worst, and still find their games to be far more interesting than Sony and Microsoft’s. But it is a shame that it all has to be tainted by all the recent bullcrap actions of their’s.

They are worse. Games like Last of Us Part 2 may be woke garbage but are rated for Mature audience so the player is (supposedly) mature enough to have his own political opinions.

Having body type in Pokemon, anti femininity in Fire Emblem and Transgenders in Mario is way more sinister and effective in injecting those ideals into the minds of children.

I think that Jap games in general still need to keep their characters appealing to some degree since China is a sizable market for them and the ching chongs are pretty based when it comes to DEI shit.

The fact it even exists is an issue. Just over a decade ago this was fringe concept that only existed in the west. Now it's something that almost every company does, even foreign ones on the other side of the world. Any inch they are given is used as a entry point for further decay. Not matter how mild it is I refuse to financially support anything that is complicit in aiding marxism.

Nintendo was still doing well during those generations with Pokémon and their handhelds. I think you forgot how much of a merchandising machine Nintendo is, they could have stopped making games in 2005 and they'd still be making billions of soft toys and trading cards.
 
Honestly, I still remain a fan of Nintendo, if only for all the games that you can’t find anywhere else, many of which I am looking forward to.

It’s just a shame that they are doing all this nonsense regarding the pricing and copyright, which leaves me scratching my head and sighing.
 
Anyone who tries to argue Nintendo aren’t “woke” is straight up wrong at this point.

Nintendo have completely killed the word “gender” on the Switch 2. Now Miis have “styles” suggesting your gender is just a costume you can change in and out of.
 
Every Nintendo game from now on costs 90 bucks; they are only obfuscating it with DLCs. Look at DK Banana, it's almost a day one DLC. They delayed it by just a few weeks not to be too on the face. The game costs 90 bucks, not 70.

Sony at least had the decency to charge 40 for Concord, less than half of that. Their shit is cheaper.

40 for a game with no single player and a shitty multiplayer. Sony are not the good guys here. There are no good guys here.
 
Old Nintendo games, Wii U and below, shouldn't cost more than $5, simple as that. Already in the past they sold old games for ridiculous prices, especially considering that all these exclusive Nintendo games made already a lot of money when they were original released. It's fascinating to me how happy people throw away money, and I don't care if you have lots of it, it's a huge character flaw to waste money. Be more like Scrooge McDuck.

At this point Nintendo is on the same greediness level like Apple and Nvidia, on top of that they indeed go more woke by the day. Let's also not forget how much they hate rom sites, even when thanks to these guys games got preserved. There is literally no reason to be mad at SNES roms for free, you are actually scum when you still want money for over 30 old games that already made you millions.

Aside from that, I said it before, they release the same games over and over again, aren't you kind of sick at one point playing Mario and Zelda (which they turned into UbiSlop) again and again. EA/2K get criticized for copy/paste their sports games, Nintendo gets a blow job (Echoes of Wisdom).

So it's weaker than the PS4 pro (2016), and why the hell would you need ray tracing, something over $1000 GPUs can struggle with.
