I don't really think most people who buy Nintendo care about this stuff, only terminally online fans/ex fans. If I asked all my cousins and their parents who all had switches and played them all the time who the CEO or whatever is or what the situation on piracy is, they wouldn't know anything about or care.

I'm not really convinced that all this really matters in the grand scheme of things.

I got to play a Switch 2 at one of those game expos, the tech itself amazed me, but the menus and the games felt so… sterile, which is the opposite of what Nintendo should be. A far cry from the absolute SOVL of the Wii and Wii U.

The Switch line makes me feel like I’m playing games on a cable TV box. Opening a port of a Wii game on there is innately worse for me. There’s no fun to be found outside of the games.

Das rite; kids have their own way of enjoying shit now that is different from us adults. Now buy that virtual boy for your kid for only $99. A small price to pay for not being a stuck up boomer.

I wasn't sure if any of you had seen this. But I just found out today about this movement. Fitting that it would go here on Nintendo Switch 2.
I'm gonna be dead honest, this is very likely to go nowhere. The website is just a bunch of the same "NINTENDO IS LE BAD AND MUST DIE!" theoretic you've seen like a hundred times by now in this very thread alone? (Not the actually smart ones that actually have any insight, i'm talking about the ones you see in youtube comment sections and the daily slop channels)

the how to support page is extra funny because this is the first "Way to support" them
ksnip_20251006-233041.png

Thier first step is quite literally "Don't be a Niggercattle" like that's gonna actually work for these guys:story:

ksnip_20251006-234329.png
The next step is to call your US legal reps to complain about how they failed to do thier jobs (like that'll change things because this is America where consumer rights mean nothing) and also sign a GOOGLE FOURM (Enjoy getting your google account potentially leaked for signing, stalker child)

ksnip_20251006-234537.png
Then you bitch at other people for being niggercattle and/or daring to like a product, even if they know it's shit and attend places like PAX and THE GAME AWARDS and "Protest" there (It worked so well for Colbert and Kimmel, right guys?"
ksnip_20251006-234929.png
Then you need to infest other news site comments sections to "spread the word" and join a subreddit (so basically be a part of a hugbox)

ksnip_20251006-235050.png
If those don't work, you have to make youtube sloppa and put flyers out that'll get thrown into the trashcan in a day or two

ksnip_20251006-235302.png
Then if all else fails, you complain to right to repair groups in the US and SIGN UP FOR THAT NEWSLETTER BAYBEEE (plz no donations though)

And in that video linked, there's a fucking CHANGE.ORG PETITION:woo:

As much as I would want to support this, this seriously like a whole bunch of redditors looked at Accursed Farms' Stop Killing Games movement and decided "We can do this too!" in the most libshit reddit fashion possible.

When the PS2 sells 140 million units there's no way anyone at Sony thought the PS3's 80 million was good enough. Its telling that they fired/let retire all of the people who built it and brough in a new team (except for Cerny) for the PS4.
Yeah, I'm sure they weren't satisfied with sales. The hardware was allegedly kind of a bitch to program for or whatever, and it was obviously overpriced, so it makes sense they changed things up. PS4's UI sucks though, they at least fucked up firing whoever was in charge of that lol

The main processor was revolutionary for multi thread operations.... But modern devs are too incompetent to use multithreading well. It did let the USA air force make a semi Supercomputer for cheap at least.

That add on is not for kids lol. It's for 30-40 something DINKs.

You'd be surprised at how many kids are interested in old tech. It's actually a very popular niche for them. Alongside being interested in the very newest tech too of course. Interesting paradox there.

?

New Pikmin?
The piano that kicks in at the beginning of the trailer sounds remarkably similar to one of the leitmotifs from Pikmin 2. I think it's the title theme, if I'm recalling correctly. Would be depressing if this signifies the death of the cool, post-apocalyptic setting of the first three games.

I remember there being rumblings in the Pikmin community of there being a spinoff game in the works which features a different art direction, of which this definitely fits the bill. That being said, I'm doubtful that it's this. I don't think Nintendo would pull the wool over our eyes like this given that they're trying to build up Pikmin as a series.

This game(?) is a pretty out-there play from Nintendo. The average age of a Switch owner was ~21, last I checked. I'm still not sure what this is, but assuming it's a game, I'm picking up puzzle vibes, which is a very strange blend of genre and target demographic.

It's Pikmin...

Apparently Pikmin Bloom, the phone game, confirmed that Pikmin are invisible to humans.
