Well the announced wave of shovelware and ports certainly isn't helping much
That didn’t hurt the Switch, it’s just they had to lean heavily on good WiiU ports that no one else played except us die hards. Mario Oydessy (anything Mario really) and the two Zeldas, plus Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem scored Switch it’s biggest success.

It really sucks ass they didn’t port Star Fox Zero, even though the game is just a pretty remake of 64, which is a remake of SNES.

The fact that Assault was the last true original Star Fox is just sad.

Very true. I enjoyed the Pigma angle, because turning him into the final boss merging with the insect aliens was perfect.

I really think Pigma should have been added to Smash Ultimate with that boss fight as his final smash.

A new patch for F-Zero 99, thought the game was dead for good since they forgot the 2nd anniversary, but there are 3 new ??? tracks: "Big Canyon", "Sand Town", and "Silent Storm". Sadly the other half of the satelleview tracks are still missing, I bet in the next patch they will be lazy and make all the 5 ??? tracks as a League and repackage it as new content or some bullshit.

Prime 4 being shit is a shame. I remember playing the first Prime during a Christmas holiday and having a lot of fun with it.
I'm sure they're still pretty good games, but the average Metacritic score of big tentpole Nintendo releases is definitely slowly slipping from the 90s a few years ago into the 80s.
Unfortunately Nintendo gets easily complacent. We saw it with the late Wii/early 3DS days and we see it here. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe being a Wii U port selling over 60 million copies is a lightning in a bottle moment.

Don’t underestimate Nintendo’s determination to turn a shit sandwich into prime rib. The 3DS is proof, the Wii U wasn’t. I think Switch 2 will turn a tide after the new year. You will see massive boosts in Spring after the Mario Galaxy movie and whatever they got up their sleeves for a new Mario title, plus Zelda and what I am on about now-MKW DLC.
I think it is too early to decide if S2 is a failure or not. There are still games that release for both the S2 and S1 while the S1 is still enough for many. It is unrealistic to judge it by purely its first year's performance. We will see.
I think it's fair to say Switch 2 and Mario Kart World could sell less than Switch 1 and Mario Kart 8 respectively and still not be considered failures.

Well I must say my time with the switch 2 has been very enjoyable
The only game I've picked up that's disappointed me is Mario kart world, and thats mostly been beaten to death atp
I found donkey Kong bananza to be a EXTREMELY fun experience with very little limitations on what you can and cant do within the levels themselves and I was happy to see the return of krool...
Pokemon Z/A I can't excuse honestly, but I had a blast so I'm willing to overlook ANYWAY it bc it was fun 🤷‍♂️
The cream of the crop absolutely has been Kirby Air riders though the game has been absolutely blowing everything else out of the water for me, and I can't say I'm too disappointed with any aspect of it, other than the price of the amiibo...
And I've just never been a fan of Metroid so, no comment.

This is what I asked a while ago and got backlash: Is this game one I will have fun with (even if it is not polished)? I never got a straight answer. What do you think? I recently played PLA and liked it. Will I enjoy this too? How is the gameplay different from PLA? I am not expecting a glitchless experience, no Pokemon game ever was but I want to know if I will have fun regardless.

This has the catching of PLA but ZA is not turnbased, it's spam abilites off cooldown and move your pokemon out of the way of attacks, and it's a really fun way to play pokemon can get repetitive but I still found it fun regardless, the story is also better than most pokemon games as well, not as good as PLA though

As the saying goes "You only get one first impression." The fact is Mario Kart World might just be unsalvageable at this point. I know there are some examples of a game being saved but not sure how much it brought in new people? Also, Mario Kart World sold 9.5 million but Nintendo also said that 8 million software sales are bundled titles. This could include the Pokemon bundles, but it could mean that only 1.5 million were sold-in. Means the game really has to be bundled to get it into people's hands. Sure, they could put a lot of content in the game to salvage it, but is the Switch 2's one game going to be them trying to be a No Man Sky's situation 2 years after the fact?
Literally all they have to do is fix track select in online mode.

Yeah, but there's nothing wrong with having standards on what you buy, though. And there's also the fact that Nintendo's current marketing strategy is focused on bringing in the younger generation by re-releasing old shit.

It looks better than Sword and Shield. But it basically boils down to if you would enjoy something that's along the lines of an RPG that's managed entirely by cooldowns.

How do you move the pokemon and you out of the attacks? Is it easy or a total bitch depending on the move?

I have played Xenoblade games so I get that but how well is it implemented here?

Weaker moves are generally more spammable. Certain status effects kind of ruins the difficulty of it. But as far as I can tell, you can't really do much of anything beyond fight, catch shit, and do some errands. I might be wrong, though.

But the game looks just as easy as the mainline series.

Ok, thanks.

Is the online still broken so that walking around in circles means you can never be targeted?

I don't actually have the game, I'd just watched someone played it for an few hours. The impression that I got is that it's physically there. But it's something that doesn't have anything else to keep it interesting aside from the plot and the fighting.
