I'm baffled at the very fact that we haven't gotten a playable Wario and Waluigi on a Mario platformer, specially since the NSMB series practically seems to be made for it.

Four plumbers for four playable characters, seems like a no-brainer right?, I'm pretty sure someone at Nintendo must have made the suggestion to include Wario and Waluigi at some point, and Miyamoto most likely threw an autistic tamtrum since those characters weren't created by him. I hace no proof, but no doubts either.
tbf, Daisy wasn't created by Miyamoto either, but Gunpei Yokoi. maybe they feel since Wario has (or had) his own platforming series, they haven't really seen a need to put him or Waluigi in any mainline Mario? But even then, I'm legit surprised a Wario Land with Waluigi as a player 2 hasn't happened yet.

Square's angrily rattling the tip jar at us, again.

With Mario, that might be dying off if it's another 2D platformer and the cracks are finally showing with Zelda. I'm honestly not looking for towards a new Zelda game if it's going to be another entry in the BOTW series. But people will Just buy it, anyways.
Holy fucking shit, I miss Akira Toriyama's style what in the name of absolute fuck did they do to the characters. It looks so UGLY.

Going off a Mario YouTuber here, but apparently Camelot confirmed the two are unrelated (this is explicitly stated in Mario & Sonic), but also that the two don’t even like one-another. They simply come together for sports as coworkers, then part ways with Wario doing his side series content and Waluigi training in a cave or whatever….
I guess it at least gives an explanation for why Waluigi is absent.

Gunpei was Miyamoto’s mentor, so he has a lot more respect for him compared to the Land 2 team.

Daisy made it into Wonder due to being another girl character and Nintendo wanting to bring in a female audience. They have been more conscious of female gamers since the DS/Wii was a hit, but also because developers have daughters that play Mario now. Makes me wonder why it took so long for Rosalina?

They've been really weird about things created by R&D 1 like Metroid and Wario Land since it was disbanded. Metroid sometimes spends years dormant and never gets developed in house anymore. They haven't developed a Wario platformer in house in over 20 years. I think Sakurai and Miyamoto don't like either series for some reason.

Here's a good example:
Under R&D 1 Wario was portrayed as this huge, greedy, fat, macho man who wrecks the fuck out of shit. Since R&D 1 disbanded he became the guy with explosive farts.

The rumor was always that R&D 1 resented being forced to make Mario Platformers for Gameboy, so they made Wario as a parody of how they felt about the situation. He's a fatter, greedier version of Mario who only cares about money. The implication being Nintendo wanted them to churn out Mario Land games because they only care about money, so they start making literal Mario parodies where you just go around gobbling up money. I wonder if that has anything to do with the lack of new Wario Land games?

They could try making a Wario game where he isn't just a fat greedy pig (though that is part of his charm), couldn't they? Or is he exclusive to R&D 1 and none else shall ever touch him?

No, the lack of games is due to a small variety of reasons.

One being the lack of purpose. Wario carried the flame of 2D Mario during the 3D shift of 64 and Sunshine. His games (in Nintendo’s eyes) were made redundant once New Super Mario Bros came out. Now that Mario can carry 2D games again, why is Super Mario Land - Wario Land needed.

Next was poor sales. Wario World sold poorly and basically killed the IP. This was then furthered by GoodFeel trying and failing with Shake It. Then, as mentioned by you, the original dev team, R&D1, split, so they couldn’t backpedal on them to make games.

Finally, you have WarioWare, which during the Wii/DS was outselling Land, with Wario’s highest grossing games being Ware for DS and Wii. Given the above circumstances, it made sense to push Wario down the direction of Ware. Land wasn’t going anywhere and lost favor. Mario could now fill Wario’s place.

I sincerly do not give a damn, where's the Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Release Date revelation at?

A Wario/Waluigi game is never happening now that Nintendo has a hard-on to make all their IPs Japanese Pixar family friendly trash so they can shill the absolute shit out of them via merch and Nintendo World rides.
The Wario Bros (Fuck you, they're related in my head cannon) are too edgy for current day Nintendo; a relic of the 90s.

I'm thinking the movie is going to flop this time around because a lot of normies don't know what Galaxy is or means. They should have just called it 2.

Ok Red Dead Redemption is really impressive. Being able to play at 1080p in bed with the equivalent performance of an Xbox One or higher with only minor downgrades from the Series X versions of the game? Incredible.

Switching from 720p or lower to solid 1080p handheld is an absolute gamechanger, and the only downside is knowing I've only got a few hours of gameplay before having to stick it on charge.

Nintendo are still joyless moneygrabbing cocksuckers but at least this console delivers.

I don't know that I buy that. They still release Kirby, Donkey Kong and Yoshi platformers. Later Wario Land games were just as distinct from Mario as Donkey Kong is.

I find the sales thing more plausible, but they've never really broken more than a million or two in sales. Shake It sold just as well as several Wario Ware entries. I genuinely think nobody behind the scenes is interested in the character artistically and would rather work with other Nintendo IPs.

I think part of it is, with Iwata being worm chow these days, the suits running Nintendo these days care even less about games as anything but product than Yamauchi did and Wario Ware is just too weird for them to want to keep it going.

Warioware is the one that's still going though. I think it's essentially the opposite, suits look at warioland and just see "another platformer", when donkey kong already fills their "another platformer" quota. They don't know games enough to see all the unique things it has over mario, so they figure if they're going to be making a relatively much more niche title either way, might as well make something completely different to cover more genres and audiences.
