I'm late to the direct, but holy shit there was like three comfy sim games in that 20 minute direct alone. Half of the artstyles looked like they were drawn by "men" who were raped by their uncle's as kids. They all draw so infantile and effeminate.

Not much I want to play. But why do we need devs on every direct to jerk themselves off about their game? It’s not just Nintendo but I see it from Sony and Microsoft presentations. Like why do we need to hear their story?

It should be kept in mind that Pokemon Pokopia, like most Pokemon spin-offs, isn't made by Game Freak. It was made by Omega Force from Koei Tecmo, who previously made Dragon Quest Builders 2 for Square Enix which is a somewhat similar game that was seemingly well-liked, so there's no reason to be that skeptical about Pokopia's possible quality.

Most of the (non-Phone) Pokémon spin-off games are quite good (usually because they’re outsourced to a developer that specializes in the game type and also actually gives a shit). This seems to be no exception in that regard.
