Thanks, those were worth trying. I went back and made sure absolutely all fonts were embedded.

When I tried the default Windows PDF printing, it gave me the same busted result.

I am beginning to think something was wrong with the original file that I received from the (other entity), which might mean that nothing I subsequently do would fix it. I'm going to kick it back to them as I appear to have run out of options.

Yeah, it'd be interesting to see what bare text copy and pasted from gu.wikipedia would do, for comparison purposes.

My monitor won't turn on, I did the basic shit like check the connections and power the computer on and off. Its a fairly new high end monitor and never gave me issues besides flashing off occasionally the last few days. I absolutely can not afford to replace it.

Since it's new I'd assume it isn't the monitor but the only time I had anything go so wrong with a monitor it required placing a capacitor. That monitor was a few years old though at the time and it's the only time I've ever had to do it.
If it's not too much trouble you could crack it open and look, assuming returning is off the table.

What's the best way to replace a Thinkpad t450s charging port with a USB-C port? And can I use any old USB-C charger or does it have to be a specific voltage?

I have no clue how to do that and I'll probably just break it even more. Guess I'll do some research.

Is it a good idea to have a mix of air-cooler and liquid-cooler in your PC? Right now I'm torn between a Kraken X53 and an AK620 from Deepcool.
 
I just bought my 3 year old niece this, she's obviously not going to get it, but yesterday she told me her dream was to be a scientist who "creates lots of dolphins and unicorns", so I thought I'd set her on the right path. My mom and I might but a Snap Circuit set here in a year or so for her.

Is Windows registering that a monitor is plugged in? Do you have more than one monitor? Can you reboot, hit space, type your password and hear the windows welcome sound? (you might want to plug in headphones directly into the computer to make sure)

When I had a problem similar to you I unplugged the power from the monitor for 10-20 minutes. After that it powered on as normal. It would appear that the fucker had crashed somehow. If its new and nothing works it's under warranty, you can probably turn to the manufacturer themselves so just go to their website. Serial number is on the back somewhere.

Problem here is that my charging port is kinda fucked, it won't charge unless the charger is at a specific angle. I tried replacing it with a Chinesium charger, and it had the same issue (+ the charger overheated).

Even so, if you need to replace the charging port, I'd advise replacing it with another charging port of the same type, not a USB-C mod from the internet.

Would appreciate any advice on whether or not I should hold off on a graphics card (specifically, GeForce RTX 3070) due to the availability issues and price fluctuations that were rampant (maybe still are?) I don’t need it until June, it’s for a gift, but I have no idea if buying now is good timing. Thank you!

Why is YouTube Vanced working? I keep updating it, deleting it, downloading it again and the same fucking error over and over again. It immediately minimizes as soon as I open it. I have a Galaxy A51.
