I have music on my phone I wanted to get to play on my car's stereo system but my car is from the flinstones era, doesn't have a auxiliary, bluetooth or anything modern. I was thinking a bluetooth casette or maybe a bluetooth fm transmitter

Was there any other better alternatives I'm missing or is that as good as it gets? It's not a car with a replaceable radio system either, the radio system is integrated in with a bunch of other shit.

Cassette is probably a bit better. I assume you've looked on-line and confirmed there's no hidden aux in maybe on the plugs on the radio. Also there's certainly a chance that a retrofit exists. If it's even semi-popular there are often kits that can even replace integrated ones, especially ones that old.

Back in the day I tried both an FM transmitter and cassette adaptor over the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The cassette system was much better in my experience as the fm transmitter was prone to interference from power lines and heavy traffic. However, I have no experience with this new fangled cassette Bluetooth receiver. I assume it's still better.

I currently have some macros set up to run different commands on my PC (e.g. CTRL+Shift+S to open Steam). Is there a remote that gives me programmable buttons to run these scripts when sitting on the couch, or do I have to get a $100+ universal remote? I have a mini wireless keyboard that technically does the job, but I still have to press key combinations.

Better yet, could these “quick commands” be accessed through an overlay menu that appears on the monitor/TV? Like pressing the Home button on a console.

With LUA Macros and AHK you can make that wireless keyboard into the macro keyboard of your dreams!

That’s what I’m already doing, but I want something more intuitive that you only need one hand for (don’t give me that look, I mean like a TV remote) and doesn’t require memorizing key combinations. Thankfully, I think I’ve at least partially found what I’m looking for.

I’ll use WinLaunch as an always-accessible screen containing a page of important apps, and get a Kodi remote for navigation. I just need something that simulates arrow keys, Enter, and Esc (I think those are the keys) and I can easy get to anything I need. Or if I don’t find a good remote, I can get a Flirc USB adapter and some small cheap IR remote.

Do it right and you don't have to press any key combinations. I have a double alt-tab bound to ' , ' on a secondary keyboard that is only used for macros. You could do the same thing with your mini-keyboard.
