Megathread Non-binary genders / Enbies - When Male and Female Aren't Special Enough

Not sure which thread to post this in, but I just picked up and started reading Groucho Marx’s autobiography (which mind you, was published in 1972) and this is deadset the first paragraph:

Who the hell says "you don't feel like a Sarah; what is your true name" to someone they just met? That's total cult behavior. Especially as you head out into the woods together, that could be the beginning of one of those low-budget artsy horror films.

Once again, this is one of those midlife/quarter-life crises, except for some reason the only way people can approach "identity" is through gender. Pretty much every religious and philosophical school encourages you to think about yourself, who you truly are, who you are when nobody perceives you... but then the gender thing has just dug a pit for people to fall into and never climb out.

These people need to think about anything- literally anything in the world!- but themselves.

Start feeding the local squirrels. Take Mountain Dews and give them away to random hobos. Join one of those choir groups that goes around and sings to old people. Rehab a dog with three legs. Anything. ANYTHING at all except "who is me and why is me and what is me and me is okay."

Hopefully they also stay the fuck off of social media while they do it too, because otherwise they'll use it as a means bragging how super awesome they are.

Okay, so normally I don't pay too much to enbies, but why is it that a majority of biologically male enbies i've met are some of the most masculine looking motherfuckers I've ever seen? They call themselves "enby", but they are blatantly male with their ultra defined jawline that could cut diamonds and their scruffy beard and fat body. This has to be some kind of joke. There is no way in hell that any of these people are remotely feminine looking, so why identify as enby unless you wanted to have oppression points?

It's a joke but a very beneficial joke. Enby let's them get away with shit they wouldn't get away as masculine guys. Just look Ezra Miller. Outside of work he dress and acts like any typical straight guy but if the law or cameras get involved suddenly the none binary card comes out. Depp was kicked out of Hollywood for much less but enby Ezra is allowed to rob, tiddle kids and beat up women.

It's fucking ridiculous. we had laws passed well into the 1900s against cross-dressing, and they applied equally to men and women. They were clearly written to establish and maintain normal gender roles.

Women started fucking with these laws, and adopted more and more male clothing. They have been gradually eroded to the point we're now at, men wearing skirts and make up and trying to 'normalize' that whole thing.

People warned it was a slippery slope and that it would result in destroying our society, and here we are in 2022.

but look where it has lead us. where does it all end?

women try to claim the status of men first it's clothes, then it's rights, then it's social mores

then men demean themselves by adopting feminine attire and styles, stop talking football and guns, take up crochet or some shit

by then you're already well on the path to significantly diminished gender roles, which is the essence of enby culture.
