Megathread Non-binary genders / Enbies - When Male and Female Aren't Special Enough

There's a lot I don't understand about this brand of snowflake, but what baffles me the most is "somedays I feel like x, others I feel like y." Do these exceptional individuals take a moment EVERY SINGLE MORNING after they wake up to decide what they're going to identify themselves as? Like, the way a normal person would decide what to wear or what to eat for breakfast?
That's pretty much it. Since they refuse to admit that what makes a person trans is having gender dysphoria, they really do think that it just comes down to what you decide to wear that day.

It's kind of disturbing how quickly this bullshit has managed to spread into the mainstream--the other day there was a post going around about how academia now accepts gender neutral pronouns, or something among those lines. Sure, it may seem like small fries at the moment, but we let LGBT into the mainstream and now pedos are using it to validate themselves and garner sympathy. In 20 years time, hell, the state might start endorsing bunself prounoun-ed hippies to avoid the hassle of being called bigots.
Imagine the absolute nightmare this is going to cause for record keeping in the future. Trying to file medical paperwork for 20 different people and each person has a different unique personal pronoun and made up identity.

You know how sometimes you wake up and get ready and you think to yourself, "I really don't want to bother, I just want the day done already," and other times you wake up and you're feeling good because you've been hitting the gym so you have a bit extra confidence, or maybe you're just feeling content and want to handle things peacefully? AKA moods?

Yeah, those are actually genders you're feeling. Feeling confident? You're a man that day. Feeling affectionate? Woman. Feeling like you want to go for a swim? Aquagender.

I had the ahem, luxury of interacting with an enby woman the other day. I used to know her when she identified as a transman and went on T. Regretted it, now she's a genderfluid. Her logic was that she didn't like people making fun of her for liking boyish things as a girl, but as a man, she hated the fact that people started treating her, well, like a man. They were ruder, passed over her, and she didn't get the attention she used to. And she didn't become the hot emo band boy she wanted to, she stayed fat and awkward. The genderfluid thing was because some days, she wanted to be treated like a woman again where people were softer and more polite, and other days, she wanted to be a jackass egotistic dick, so that meant she was a boy.

Sorry, a bit long, but that's just one of many genderfluid/enby experiences I've been told and all of them boil down to they feel entitled to be treated special from the normie boys and girls.

That seems pretty bigotted and sexist to me. They're basically admitting that they think gender stereotypes are real.

I honestly can't see how being NB is anything but sexist. Like at least for classic troons, they want the physical characteristics of the other sex. Legit FTMs want to look like a man, they want the muscle and fat distribution, maybe the hair and beard, etc etc. Same for legit MTFs, just in the opposite direction.

What the fuck is a genderless human

Even androgynous people still get gendered. Sure, what they're gendered as will vary from person to person, but the point still stands. My idea of androgynous is not yours or anyone else's. So if a chick wants to be androgynous, what does that mean? Short hair? Flat tits? What's the fat distribution, what about the muscles? If a dude wants to be androgynous, will he keep his hair short like her or grow it long? What about his chest? Will he gain muscle or lose it? It's utter nonsense because it doesn't exist in reality. It's like wanting to be a dragon or unicorn.

Enbys don't have that. It's all based on that they don't like football and aren't assertive and chads like the other guys, or they don't like dresses and don't get along with the stacies and preps. They don't feel like the stereotype of a girl or boy, thus they're special. Or maybe they do, but they still want to be special so they can show they're more than that, and thus they claim to not be the stereotypical woman because they're not a woman.

It's nonsense, it's just absurd utter nonsense.

Most of the NB people I've met are pretty chill. I don't really think that NB genders are a real thing, but I'll respect them as individuals nonetheless. At their worst, they're annoying to be around, because a lot of them have extremist political views. But I can deal with that.
Mmm, yeah. I don't give a shit about people's genders when I'm not flapping my lips on the internet, but that also means I don't give a shit about their political views. So no-one should go forcing their opinions on me. Otherwise, I don't care.

The fact that so much of NB circles, especially on Tumblr, revolves exclusively around bland chicks insisting their entire identity is based on being "not a girl" (or in some cases "not JUST a girl" given how many of them have "she & they" listed in their bios) and acting like a person having a wide array of clothing preferences that change based on the occasion and what they're feeling for the day is this bold rebellious gender performance that borders on being a spiritual awakening or some shit is very telling in my opinion.

I once talked to an enby and she said that she knew she was enby because she didn’t like her boobs. Most women hate their boobs. You’re not a different gender just because you dislike your chest pillows.
What if they only wanted to have a single boob? Or three?

I feel like this counts as trinary, not non-binary.

An old acquaintance of mine, who literally cried upon taking his first dick, since it wasn't rainbows and magic as porn made it out to be, recently came out as nonbinary.

"Non-binary male". I don't even think people know what it entails anymore, buying into this horseshit.

Disliking anything about yourself can lead down a specific path these days. We've got entire dating shows dedicated to revealing the body of average people completely (European, obviously) on TV, and then starting the dating aspect.

Meanwhile, on the internet, dominated by American discourse: Don't like your tits? Not a woman. Want a dick? Tranny. Want a dick to fuck women? NB trans pan. Man who wants to fuck women? Lesbian male.

"Trans women exclusionary radical feminist"
doesn't "terf" cover that or

blah

anyway to actually contribute to the conversation, I know exactly one "non binary" that actually seems like the genuine article. goes by she but dresses like a guy and binds her chest. not a lesbian and is also an ace with a boyfrieind. sounds like a tumblr stereotype except the most she goes into it is that she's into homestuck but hates the fandom.

Yes, TERF covers both. TWERF exists so they can feel better about shitting on trans-men while idolizing trans-women.
