Oat milk's pretty alright, even when plain. Still, I like almond milk's flavor a bit better. Both go really great in tea and chocolate cereal.

Cashew is my favourite of all the imitation "milks" I've tried so far but it costs a fortune. Oat is pretty good too though
You can make this too, I've made it with a shit tier blender. I think you soak them and then. Though it settles without an emulsifier
I wish people would catch on to pea milk. It's the best milk imo.
I've never tried this because it just sounds bad. Maybe I'll try it.

I personally think it's better than the nut milks, but I still prefer soy milk over oat milk. But oat milk froths better for coffee.

Also starbucks is adding oat milk to their menu soon too.

But oat milk is like 5 dollars for a pint so no way am I drinking that regularly. When it stops being trendy I'll probably buy it again if its cheaper.

I've had vegan pea protein stuff and it's so brutally disgusting so I'm scared of what pea milk would taste like.

This thread has been very informative. I only drink almond milk but I've been curious about the oat and cashew milks. I never bought them because they were like four times the price of almond and my cheap ass wasn't willing to spend that kind of money on something I might not like. This thread has convinced me to try one, probably oat, next time I go to the grocery store.

Just ordered this earlier, can't wait for it to arrive -- it's the first true pistachio milk on the market and I'm excited to try it. Very expensive but supposedly delicious and froths better than oat milk. Will report back.

I actually prefer alt-milks to real dairy, even if I weren't intolerant. Almond milk, coconut milk, macadamia milk, oat milk, all good to me.

Nigga making oat milk is cheap as fuck. Put oats and water in a blender, blend until mostly cohesive, strain through a sieve and boom. Cheap as fuck.

Tried oatmilk the other day and damn it's good. It's creamier than regular milk but doesn't have that greasy aftertaste. I've always liked oatmeal cooked with milk and it's pretty much the same flavor. Brand I found's soy-free and all-natural too. Probably gonna just switch to this over regular milk altogether.

I can't stand anything sweetened and/or flavored, and most especially soy. That shit belongs in stirfry, not cereal.

I've been sticking with plain almond or coconut, depending on what I'm using it for. Almond or oat definitely makes Campbell's tomato soup interesting.

And the "milk" moniker just bugs the fuck out of me; it's goddamn nut juice, but marketing says different, so.

Store-bought Soymilk except from Asian store is abomination.
Homemade Soymilk is way better

Dairy milk will always be my number one choice. I’m not lactose intolerant or vegan so I have no reason to stop. But I’ve liked vanilla soy milk for awhile. Best is the kind I’ve gotten from a Japanese grocery store. I’ve had macadamia milk but maybe it was a cheap brand or almost expired because it tasted...stale? I get coffee with almond milk sometimes and it’s a nice flavor departure from getting dairy milk sometimes. Coconut milk is good, but has a more pronounced flavor.

I’ve seen banana milk at a grocery store before. Not banana flavored dairy milk (though I really want to try that too) but a banana version of nut milks. It’s expensive but there are plenty of recipes online that look easy enough. Making oat milk would be interesting to try too. Bananas and oats are cheap.

I think it’s a useful distinction. Way I see it, it’s labeled milk in part to say that it can be an effective baking substitute. I’ve never tried baking with a juice before, but using any milk-substitute tends to produce good results.
