They don't scream at me about SJW's, boomers, western civilization or any of the other shit the internet thinks should dominate every thought and action. They just go about their day like I try to do and get their work done.
Yeah but that's kind of the problem, that's basically all they do. They have no personality outside of work. They know nothing and do nothing else, have very few real relationships, to the point that I'm quite convinced that even if they weren't paid a cent they would still keep showing up at work. Doesn't matter how they're abused or how few rights they have, in the United States it's "normal" that work
is culture.
Especially as working from home has become more prevalent, there's been a massive uptick in the number of people who will continue fucking around with work shit sometimes hours after they were supposed to be done, no intention of advancement, no overtime pay, just doing it because they don't know what else to do with their time.
Then they constantly buy shit they don't ever use, I'm guessing to hide from the realization that they have no use for money; if they were given a pod to sleep in and provided with food, they would do nothing except work all day, return to their pod, eat, sleep, then do the same the next day.
I understand not everyone has an option, especially for city dwellers who may as well live in pods already, but still. It's sad to watch.
Don't be an unemployed weirdo, but for god's sake don't do work if you aren't getting paid either.
