Mostly because they're male feminists and hitting on women is gonna be problematic in their minds. Obviously the fact they both resemble different stages of drowned corpse decomposition doesn't help, not to mention they'd both white knight Lindsay if the claims had been anyone else, but let's not pretend these guys were hitting up Lindsay with salacious booty calls. They're not Harvey Weinstein. If she'd gotten the exact same shit from a couple of troons she wouldn't even mention it. Yeah but she correctly surmises that if she propositioned them for sex, they’d both take her up on it immediately. These guys sublimating their sexual desires by being fanboys for her awful content is even slimier than some random guy asking “u wan sum fuk.” Also her ego will still demand the idea that she’s sexually attractive even if she’s married and wants nothing to do with her fans sexually. However she wants these guys to have so little self esteem that they are available to be used as a punching bag so she can validate her narratives about how hard it is to be the Nostalgia Chick, even if she makes a quarter million a year at least to work just a few hours per week.

Long story short, Lindsay wants guys like Blob and Quinton around to feed her ego but to be available to be made a punching back, which only makes them more repulsive to her. She’s a bitch.

Hi, I’ve been a lurker on this thread for a while and I figure that what fuels its longevity is the same thing that gets internet johns to fawn over someone who they may have very mixed feelings for, feelings being unwarranted lust and revulsion.

Chemical signaling, maybe a flushed face from constant alcohol consumption, and a bit of plastic surgery.

Edit: I apologize. That’s a wordy way to say that Lindsay is toxic and she attracts co-dependents, the people who adore her are not much better than she is. I feel sorry for Contrapoints running with such a low quality crowd.

If her admirers realized the language of addiction they’d cut her off entirely.

Movieblob and Quinton for all their retardation, on some level know their limitations.

Both make a living of YouTube, engage with their supporters, and have actually managed to weather being called a predator by Lindsay (poor vulnerable waif that she is).

Lindsay is not content to be some bedroom vlogger YouTuber. She has a production crew, friends, unemployed husband and a lifestyle to support. She's probably making 30k a month on Patreon, but watch that money evaporate when you have overheads.

She neglects her patreons, doesn't give them any sort of access, or even supporter only content (she tries to flog merch seperately).

She also associates with mentally ill trannies, as well as that crazy fat chick that was trying to piggy back on her content for a while.

Moviebob and Quinton live in basements and give their supporters what they want. They are still going to be going long after Lindsay crash and burns.

It might be Divorce (hey buddy remember when your now barren wife made a documentary about her abortion) financial melt down, emotional melt down, or she says the wrong thing to some crazy tranny on twitter. LIndsay is going to self destruct at some point.

The thing to take away from people like Lindsay is that they are NEVER happy.

You could give them everything they say they want and they'd still be miserable. There is this drive to push their agenda and gain acceptance that pushes them and because of that, the struggle can never really be over. They will always be striving for more and more acceptance and when there are no villains left to fight, they'll find new ones.

Insert metaphor about the snake eating its own tail, but people like her will never be happy unless they take an introspective approach and learn what's wrong with them and how they can fix themselves.

I'd say the main reason she's unhappy with her lot in life is because she wanted to be this big Hollywood movie director, it didn't work out, and rather than make an indie production financed by Kickstarter, she just sat around drinking until a publisher approached her. But she still never got her dream so she's unhappy.

How did they pigeonhole her? At first that was the case as she was literally just a female NC. Overtime she changed it to be more like a video essay. She talks about this in the Shut Up and Talk she did with Doug. One thing to note from this video is how passive aggressive Lindsay is with Doug, in particular pretty much saying that his reviews break copyright while admitting that she fails to adhere to Fair Use. Then again, this is the same person who admitted to "Knowingly and Willingly breaking Copyright Law in almost everything I do. I just assume no one is going to catch me".

I think it's just the material and humor she tried to do in her NChick videos. They seemed pretty run of the mill to what a lot of other CA people were doing at the time, and she tried to make it a big deal that her and Chez Apocalypse were doing more analytical than funny.

This bugs me because She had time to respond to this random person within an hour but Quinton bugs her for months and she just ignores him. She just did passive aggressive soft blocks to Moviebob for years, but this guy he needed to stopped immediately for daring to not sympathize with Lindsay Ellis. I don't remember Lindsay Ellis sympathizing for Brad Jones when he got doxed and him and his family were harassed because he decided to stay at CA. It just shows that for Lindsay, it's hate mobs for thee, not for me, just like with the hate mob that caused her to go to a mental institution and we were supposed to feel bad for her.
