The only thing that could make this situation more hilarious is if the PS5 was hackable from day one. As in, Sony didn't lock down the security on the system. Happened with the PSP.

The PS4 reveal was fucking fantastic, it was like one giant shitpost. The console itself was revealed to Imagine Dragons - Radioactive, and they also ran this video as a direct jab at the Xbox One not being able to play used games:

Yeah that was good with the console warring. Banter like that is always welcome.
But the games at PS4 launch were not that stellar. This atleast has some form of backwards compatibility and a stronger lineup of launch window stuff

To this day, it impresses me how much of a PR disaster the Xbone launch was. The Xbox brand still haven't recovered from the damage and at this rate, it might have actually killed it.

I think the Xbox Series X will save Xbox's reputation. Given how Sony is more cinematic than interactive, MS may have a chance.

It pretty much did. The Xbox One is a perfectly fine game system, it'll play whatever you want just as well as the PS4 or a PC of equal power, but it's never not been a laughing stock. And, unsurprisingly, it's actually sort of worth owning if you're a cheap bastard and tend to buy your games a little late, since they tend to show up on clearance more often and used copies go for a little less than on PS4.
But it's come a long way. Backwards compatibility on it is very good, older games get upscaled and run really well, playing Morrowind on an Xbox One is super smooth and feels like luxury, and it's a little faster to load streaming services. And you can set the controller down on your couch or bed and not have your video skip around because the triggers aren't just exposed and easy to accidentally press when you dare move around.

The "dinosaurs" in that game don't even look like dinosaurs they literally just look like fucking deviantart level dragon fursonas retroactively referred to as "dinosaurs" when crammed into a game in a manner similar to that freedom planet game with the hedgehog that got renamed to a dragon retroactively or some shit like that during development to avoid sega lawsuits for what was essentially a sonic fan game initially.
