Twitter is a customer service website and ragebait website. I got a hand written check back for a product once due to it. I can't imagine any other reason to be on there. I suppose brand growth.
I think it's just commone sense too, when a demographic makes up a little over 50% of the population, and you go out of your way to shit on them constantly, well guess whose support you just lost. It's a meme to say now, but we are a very polarized society, politically, sexually, and religiously.

Cool, I didnt know that! My post was a bit in jest but I still feel it's a little shocking he choose such a name for which its so hard to quantify anything of. But beyond what you say, maybe that's part of the marketing ploy. Cause everyone talks about it and it sticks in their head.
Elon has also owned the x.com domain since the dotcom bubble, iirc that later became paypal so hes just been squatting it. I can believe its something as autistic as "elon thinks X is really cool", but honestly I can also believe "hey I have that x.com domain and thats kinda cool I should use it" and hes autistic enough to upend an entire brand like Twitter to make it happen.
