What exactly is this "teaching project"? I see a bunch of dubious people with topics that read like Brave New World translated into Newspeak and I get that it's all horrible. But what are they doing with this? Is this a program for schools? Is it internal training? Where does this "teaching" take place?

Neat - but has there been anything super secret yet? Much of this seems kinda pedestrian.

Eh, maybe to us. I still run into people who think voting fraud is crazy conspiracy or Biden talking about 'interacial jungles' is some kind of made up character attack.

There was a document I posted earlier, which is a letter from a bunch of black community leaders saying that if Biden isn't for defunding the police/police reform, then he won't get the black vote.

So of the people who do vote, it's 13%. Look at voting figures for ANY election, anywhere, and give one of the candidates/parties another 13% and see how the result changes.

EDIT: Also, most political wonks are so racist (be it old-school "good ol' boy" racism or woke "white man's burden" racism) they think all blacks think the same and are a singular voting bloc.

Well, look at it this way. It's about 40/60 on whites for Democrat/Republican. That's the main demographic of the US. Obviously, Whites favor Republican candidates, so if only White people voted, Republicans would win every time. Enter minorities. Minorities are mostly small parts of the US population (with the exception) of Hispanics. However, together, they make up 40% of the US. The US is only around 60% White these days. If you can win 40% of the White vote, and say, 70-80% of the Minority vote that puts you in the lead and guarantees you victory.

That's why the Republican strategy these days is to get White people to vote Republican, while scraping as many minorities off the Dems as possible. 2% there, 1% there, can really, really even out the vote for Republicans. See 2016. Enough minorities voted Republican that year that they were able to pad out their numbers and get Trump the electorate.

My theory is that Republicans pay attention to the black vote for entirely defensive purposes, i.e., so they cannot be credibly accused of ignoring it and thereby losing a slice of the "reasonable white" vote.

Battleground states, usually the only ones where the outcome isn't entirely known before the election, are often determined by 0.5% or less. The slightest loss of a demographic can change the election. And blacks are a core demographic to Democrats in getting to 270 EV. If even a small but significant chunk stay home it's game over.

Some polling companies over sample D’s because they expect higher turnout, which is often (but not always) the case. This is literally why they were all wrong about 2016.

It’s unwise to disregard polling wholesale since aggregates are generally useful, but if you think news outlets don’t cook the books to sell a narrative, then you’re a fucking moron.

I have participated in two politcal polls. In both cases, I told the pollster I was voting for Biden even though I am voting for Trump. Other friends and family have done this as well.

This is common voting behavior for a 'besieged minority' that is one that (correctly or incorrectly) judges survival based on their vote; the minority can be a ruling minority (see: Iraqi Ba'athists).

Realistically though the Blacks will never vote 50/50, so for Republicans depressing their turnout by convincing them not to vote in a election is usually what I would call a success for them. Even having them vote less than 90% Democrat because of third party candidates and lowered turnout instantly can flip entire States to the Republicans.
