I miss when conspiracy theories were fun and interesting, stuff you could use for homebrew worldbuilding. Lizard people royal families, Hollow Earth, Nibiru, the Mayan apocalypse, indigo children. Now it's all 5G election vaccine WEF Bill Gates satellite laser grid NWO network.

Discuss funny, low stakes conspiracy theories, urban legends, interesting pseudoscience, obscure conspiracies only known in specific countries or parts of the world, or retro conspiracies no longer in the zeitgeist.

My personal hunch is that the "Dubai chocolate" trend was engineered/signal boosted by the UAE government to obfuscate keywords and search engine results about Arab sheikhs hiring Eastern Euro prostitutes to take a shit on their chest.

Alcohol. There is also Stull Kansas. Purportedly one of the 7 (or was it 11) gates to Hell on Earth. There is an abandoned church there and making a sign of the cross with two beer bottles and smashing them against the church wall opens the gate. Good times.
