I keep telling you guys he will not be in the big bad boy prison and even if he goes to prison he's not going to be with Derek the guy who killed 32 people he will be with Bob the white collar criminal who just has a few years in prison. Also you guys have a weird idea of how prison is and it shows that you watched way too many movies. In high security prisons they're stabbing and you will get taken advantage of but let's be honest Chris is a low security risk. He is going to end up in a prison that just basically coddles him. In this setting other prisoners are not going to screw with him just because they will have only a few years and they don't want to add any more time on to their sentence. It's the prisoners that have light years that will screw with Chris and he will not interact with any of them because they will most likely be in a different section. Your view on prison shows that you watched too many movies and cannot distinguish between the different types of prisons

I feel like he's flipping through and reading random sections. I'm sure he's read plenty of Revelations, given how it's the most dramatic and ridiculous of all Bible chapters. Maybe he thinks quoting Revelations is overdone and is going for more obscure passages to prove he's True and Honest Jesus?

Chris would be placed with the guys least likely to shank him over a Top Ramen and while the possiblity of violence always exists, it will likely come to Chris in some way that flies under the CO's radar.

For example, if he's assigned to a pod and the motherfucker breaks some unspoken rules, like not keeping your shit clean or not working a job or program and sleeping all day, he will get his ass beat. Technically a prison can't make you work a job, The inmates have every right to refuse if told to go on work detail and generally it doesn't affect anyone else if you refuse. The prison however will suspend privilege's like mail, desserts with meals, and if you receive donations to the commissary anyway they'll take some of it to cover the labor you'd make if you had gone on work detail. Really all Chris needs to worry about is if he ends up in a cell with another person and thus has to remember to shower and not leave the cell a pigsty unless his cellmate happens to be just as gross a slob as he is.

Really chris will luck out big time if he's given his own cell and kept in solitary for his stay. All he'll have to do is sit around refuse to go to the exercise yard when it's time, and if the weens can keep his Commisary full enough to pay off any charges for refusal to work and stocked with enough food in his cell so he never has to leave for meals. Then theoretically he could ride out his entire sentence confined to his little room never seeing daylight again until he gets released or moved to a halfway home.

What this means is that Chris sees it like another countdown to a time when all his delusions become reality, the merge having failed to manifest.

When he says " we are literally at Malachi 3" he isn't really giving special relevance to said chapter, what he really means is a repeat of "the merge is coming anytime soon" but implying it's just a few bible pages from now. The fact that Malachi is so close to the end of the old testament AND addresses the convenient issue of tithes is just the icing on top. He clearly sees the transition from old to new testament as an event as important as the merge was in his own lore before, specially seeing as he believes himself to be Jesus. On that note, brace yourselves for a wild Christmas season this year if he's still in jail.

If lawyers won't defend him and none are appointed, he gets off unless he demands and is legally competent to defend himself (he hasn't and he's not). I am willing to bet that Chris probably has a very lousy sense of the Bible's chronology and simply does not know the timeline of events or even that Malachi is set 400 years before Jesus' birth.

So, merge is quite a while off I guess.
