Yeah this shitshow is winding down rapidly.

I think it will be a week or two before Trump officially concedes.
I think he'll just jet off to Mar a Lago sometime in late December and won't ever formally concede. He's got his supporters so riled up that if he conceded they might stop donating to his Wu style PAC/Slush fund.

He will concide he not a idiot . :story: :story:
He probably going stay at margo largo after december 25th.

She put being loyal to Trump above being loyalty to the country. She tried to weasel out of this and delay it for another week where she wouldn’t have to actually admit the transition should start.
I don't buy that, there's no law she was breaking. I think it would be imprudent to share information and funds if there was a sense the legal case might prevail, but it became obvious that it almost certainly won't so now their going to begin the transition.

I’m still laughing over the fact that Trump’s elite legal strike force didn’t know the difference between Michigan and Minnesota.

I hope they keep letting Giuliani file briefs. The demented old Nosferatu and his elite team making claims about Chavez computer servers vote stealing don’t even know how to use spellcheck. It’s glorious.

They were just writing affadavits out like madmen with a skeleton legal team. It was inevitable they were going to trip over their own dick bad.

Hey at least they didn't give the best part of the state to Chantal and those filthy, stinking Canucks like Hannity.

No.

Even skeleton legal teams know how to use spellcheck, proofread shit and make it into the ballpark of coherence. This “legal team” makes first year law students at Cooley Law School cringe.

The appeal they just filed uses “presidential” instead of “president” multiple times. Elite strike force needs less crazy Q-tard attorneys and more general literacy and proofreaders.

I honestly think they are getting most of their brilliant ideas from twitter.

It's kind of a crosspost at this point but can anyone explain how an election case reaches SCOTUS other than "it's hard" ? I am lacking so much technical knowledge on election law it's not even funny.

The case has to be related to a constitutional matter for the most part. The “bake the cake guy” was a First Amendment issue, for instance. You can also screw up so hard that your criminal case winds up in front of the Supreme Court outright, in which case you’re probably screwed.

It is expected for you to go through the lower courts first, normally in the state where the offense took place. However if there is an incident that affects multiple states at once, it goes straight to federal. When you go through the processes, your case can go up to the Supreme Court, where they have to decide whether or not to hear your case based on the amount of time they have to give you a fair hearing along with both on the urgency of the issue and the case’s importance relating to the constitution.

Michigan and Pennsylvania have a high chance to be heard because both states allegedly ignored their own rules regarding election law. The Supreme Court can in fact force a State to follow its own rules, even if no one wants the rules to be followed. Sometimes this ruling comes with a deadline forcing the legislature to change the law or have the old law stand as is. Given that this is an election issue, the Supreme Court would simply force the State to follow its own laws.

The thing is, getting to the Supreme Court isn’t hard, it is just a long process. In the current situation, getting to a SCOTUS hearing before the clock runs out is the hard part. First you had to wait for the situation to pop up, then you have to tear through the evidence gathering process while filing for hearings at almost the exact same time, then you have to see if the first court will rule in your favor or not, and so on until you hit the top.

This is an attempt at a breakneck speedrun of one of the slowest bureaucratic processes in the world. This is a Herculean feat by the simple fact they are even trying in the first place. This is why it is “hard” to get the SCOTUS hearing, as opposed to the usual “long time” that people are used to.

Is that really a surprise? Trump doesn't know the difference between Kansas and Missouri.

My words fail me.
This reality is being written by somebody who loves irony a bit too much, it has to be.

Too bad for carrots...
To have it archived

In 2018, President Trump attacked Carrots the turkey for refusing to concede he had lost the vote on the White House turkey pardon contest.

"This was a fair election... unfortunately, Carrots refused to concede and demanded a recount."

"We're still fighting with Carrots. And I will tell you, we've come to a conclusion: Carrots, I'm sorry to tell you, the results did not change. Too bad for Carrots."
Reminds me of today, just with a bigger turkey:thinking:
