I should note that I'd rather the age of 18 be reached before transition should be allowed, mostly to give the individual time to make their own choice, rather than have one forced on them by social pressure.

I don't know why this is still a debatable subject for some. Unlike Gender Dysphoria, Homeosexuality is a proven natural trait among humans with the best examples of this being in the animal kingdom.

Gender dysphoria causes a person to feel as though they were born in the wrong body and should have been the opposite sex. Such thoughts and feelings could lead to a person going under irreparable surgery with some cases still being unhappy with their appearance and killing themselves.

There are some fine trans people out there, don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day what they experience throughout their lives is a form of mental illness.
