Hey what does 'and' mean?
"PENDING THE FILING AND DISPOSITION OF A PETITION FOR A WRIT OF CERTIORARI"

are you pretending to be retarded here? are you unironically so fucking stupid that you think the phrase is PENDING THE FILING /
AND [THE] DISPOSITION OF A PETITION FOR A WRIT OF CERTIORARI
what is "THE FILING"? oh, it and "DISPOSITION" describe "A PETITION FOR A WRIT OF CERTIORARI", which means the entire phrase is PENDING

do i need to define pending

While we're waiting for the supreme court to actually publish their initial response, the state of Ohio asked permission to submit an amicus brief "on behalf of neither party." We're not involved you guys, but just FYI you should definitely consider this very worthy suit and its totally important and not at all made up legal questions.

The states that were so spineless that they let Trump bully them in to this charade in the first place are bad enough, but to submit this cringing brief is the lowest of the low. "Look, we're kinda on board. Please don't bomb our houses, MAGA fanatics. Please!"

Biden is not going to make it into the White House.

Defendant's response to texas lawsuit is published. LOL, they're not pulling any punches.

If you seriously think Joe Biden still has a chance of becoming president while his son is actively and publicly being investigated for peddling influence to hostile foreign nations, you must be an exceptionally optimistic tard who deserves to be disappointed.

Game over, kill yourselves.

I see. So your argument is that Joe Biden is going to be forced to resign as president elect some time between now and January 20th and that Kamala Harris will be sworn in as president at that time?
Just trying to make absolutely crystal clear what the latest cope is.

Citations to specific PA law, citations to precedent, citations to the portions of the Texas gish which are fucking patently absurd...

Yeah. Looks like the strategy of just shit until it sticks has run into a hurdle. But it's all a waiting game at this point.

This is a conflict between two oligarchs and their supporting factions. These conflicts are settled behind closed doors, everything else such as voting or lawsuits is just theatre for plebs. I get it, you like to think that your vote matters and your opinion counts, but that was never the case. The stakes are way too high for this to be resolved by some unwashed peasant's vote.

What a shit show. I hope everyone rubs it in Trump's little crybaby face that the defence got more states on board than the plaintiff. He'll go nuts for days, and probably spend all his time on the phone to Alaska or whatever to try to drag them in too. It's pretty effective theatre that conveys the message "this is politics, not law" and the court will be nuts to get involved.

I read the whole thing and got to the end expecting more pages. This is an incredibly bad counter to the suit Texas brought.

It tries to establish all sort of circumstantial proof that (a) election fraud didn't happen and (b) the states are allowed to make "common sense" (their words haha) changes to their election process.

It does a complete end-run around Texas' actual claims, which are that it's harmed by the states refusing to follow their own legislative rules around their own elections--facts the amicus filing doesn't even try to dispute.

nigger you couldn't read "pending [clause]" and you expect me to believe that you not only went through the entire document there, but you looked at every citation they made to other cases?

Settle down and enjoy the show

It's not a response the allegations, it's an amicus brief. The ostensible point is to provide the court with points of law they should consider, but in this case it's not even that. This is theatre. The actual text might as well be lorem ipsum. The subtext is "Oh yeah? You got 17 red states on board? Well, we've got 20 blue states, oh and a couple of overseas territories too." The message here is that this is a political fight and not only should the court not be drawn in, it really ought to censure the people who attempted to use them for political purposes.

If you're really interested in the answers to the points of law involved, read the actual responses from the named defendant states.

He may have secret information we don't. What relationship has Hunter Biden's penis had to Kamala Harris?

My racially-handicapped Persian friend, I'd call you naive but it would be a massive understatement.

One thing I can say is that you will definitely not enjoy what happens next.

Just as Q planned! It's 8-D chess. Don't you trust The Plan of Dear Leader?

I look forward to California suing Texas over disenfranchising voters in the larger counties via the Equal Protection Clause by only having 1 dropbox per county

I find it cute how you guys pass around that Vice article like a bucket of vaseline at a lemon party. Would be great if it wasn't from a media outlet that's so pozzed it has more AIDS than Africa.

Yes, yes, I'm just getting my shots in before d0c kills himself and HHH quits politics in disgust.
