I hate how people don't listen to children when they say to stop doing something or that they don't like specific things. Especially since it's rather known at this point that you need to let children know it's okay to say no or to speak up when they're uncomfortable with something.
Growing up, I hated family get-togethers. No one ever really got things I could eat and I would be made to eat them, even when I tried to express it in what way I could at the time. For my Dad's side of the family, this carried over to physical touch as well. For context, I hated play fighting or being tickled, and especially being carried without being asked or told that I would be. It was terrifying for me, especially since I started developing a fear of men around that timeframe, though I'm not exactly sure what specifically set it off. More often than not, the only person who would actually stop when I spoke up would be a male older cousin of mine, otherwise I'd have to be loud and frankly, whiny about it. I specifically remember being scolded and told I was overreacting when one time, I wanted someone to put me down when they had put me over their shoulder and they wouldn't, so I started kicking the air and hitting their back.
Everyone deserves representation, no one would choose to be born with a chromosomal disability that makes you uglier, more violent and less intelligent.
