I used to encounter the strangest guys at college. I didn't even go to a super liberal college, it was just boys who are raised without hard labor don't know shit. They think sitting at a computer is one of the hardest jobs there is. They've never done customer service where they're told 'you'd look prettier if you smiled more' and never been a cashier working alone at 2am and you're about to close the beer sales down. I explained to a man at a bar that maintenance was literally maintenance cause you needed to maintain hair, nails, botox, bras, etc. (Good fella, a far cry from the guy the night before talking non stop about all the Vegas vacations he had ever done.)

All that to say, I work and talk with some heavy blue collar men. At work and out of work. The blue collar men I talk to may be lovingly called Luddites on some days, but they really don't care for all the gender special crap and the other bits of stupid news that comes out. Their opinions come down to "I don't like it" and "I fucking dare the govt to come onto my lawn". Simple guys, but absolutely some of the best I've come across.
