Official Kiwi Farms Man-Hate Thread

I watched the Video Tape™️ in 4th grade and it was the right time, lol. 6th grade would have been way too late. My school also did a thing where in 5th grade the kids watched the opposite gender's tape. Maybe 5th grade was early for that, but the week or so after the event everything kind of went normal again and it's good to teach people what the opposite gender goes through (a.k.a. teach boys that girls have periods and it's not something to get bent out of shape about.)
Boys need to learn about periods because there are way too many grown-ass adult men who have no idea how female bodily functions work.

Teaching kids about that shit might make adults uncomfortable, but it's information the need to know and before they experience those things themselves (so they don't freak out and stuff, like I've heard horror stories about girls with fundie parents and shit who taught them nothing until they were bleeding thinking they were dying and shit).

This is why I stopped identifying as conservative. Men on both sites of the political spectrum straight up hate women and you can literally do everything right, be exactly the kind of woman men say you "should be" and they will still hate you and look down on you just for being female. Men only respect other men so fuck them. Trying to win their approval is literally impossible so you might as well just do whatever the fuck you want and become their worst nightmare.

Have we talked about FL banning kids from being taught about periods and shit before 6th grade, even though plenty of girls hit menarche before then since the average age range starts at about 9? More than a little bit misogynistic IMO that certain people think girls shouldn't be taught about their own bodily functions or that they're somehow sexual or inappropriate.
While I’m aware that plenty of people have messed up family lives, I don’t think schools should have the primary responsibility of teaching girls this stuff in the first place. I would hope, especially in the case of early menarche, that the mother or, if she’s not around, another trusted female family member would have had this conversation a long time before the government has to get involved.

I think you missed the post about fundie parents refusing to explain it.

That is gross and dumb on their part and is part of my point that it’s pathetic that the government has to get involved at all. Like I said in the first part of my post, I recognize that some families are fucked up, I just wish it didn’t have to be like that.

Ah, I gotcha. Sorry I misread.

the OP of these comics is a schizo gnostic (in the year of our lord 2023) but it's still quality posts lmao
Off topic, but I've considered dumping some of his stuff in either the reddit thread or the internet pagans thread. Unfortunately he's not been very active recently.

Plus part of the greater issue of period stigma which is of course deeply tied to misogyny and female oppression (where in extreme forms girls and women are forced to live outside in shitty huts while on their periods, which puts them at increased risk of sexual violence, or not allowed to go to school and whatnot).

(Average age for first period is 12.4. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/...lly occurs between the, thought to play a role.

In 1840, it was 16.5. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/123...t menarche,constant at approximately 50 years.

And beyond periods, early puberty signs such as breast development are quite a bit younger now: https://www.scientificamerican.com/...he average age of menarche,20 or 30 years ago.)

But that aside:

Do you happen to have a cite for that ban? Or know the stated rationale? Even back in my elementary years (late 70s/early 80s), we got basic sex ed - just mechanics of periods and how sperm & egg combine to create babies - in 5th grade. The point was to educate kids on it before it happened. There was no discussion of sexuality, or anything in-depth on birth control, or anything anywhere near technique or (god forbid) pleasure around sex, just very basic puberty stuff. Other than that, we read, Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret*, and that was basically as controversial as it got. Curious as to Florida’s objection to that basic level of education (if anything more than paranoia and anti-female perspectives/skeptical).

*Anyone unfamiliar, that was a Judy Blume book about a ~11-12 yo girl and friends entering puberty. The big issues were getting a period and breasts as a marker of getting older. Major topics included buying training bras and menstrual pads (and a belt, which iirc was a contraption pre-my time for wearing pads). The girls did silly girl things like exercises chanting chanting, “we must, we must, we must increase our busts,” making up cool names for themselves in their secret society, and getting hierarchical about who had a period and who hadn’t yet. Simpler times.

Since the previous attempts of getting me banned for being an undercover troon agent sent to destroy Kiwifarms didn't work out, the moids have now come up with a new plan to get rid of that dang darn Lidl Drip and therefore protect their manfeels from being hurt.

Elaine Miller is a lolcow whose sock accounts are ban on sight so they think if they can convince Null that I'm her he will be forced to get rid of me! Absolutely brilliant plan, let's see how it pans out.

It really is quite ironic that their thread started because they were butthurt for being banned from replying to this thread and have been whining about CENSORSHIP and FREE SPEECH for 170 pages and yet trying their hardest to censor my freeze peach.

No, I can see how you came to that conclusion. And I completely agree, it’s disgusting that people treat it like some freak occurrence when it’s a normal thing that every woman in the family has to deal with. Like even if you’re going to keep the men in the dark about it for fear of corrupting their souls or whatever, which I think is the wrong decision, the fact is you know that every girl in the family is going to have to deal with it so you might as well set aside a time to have a woman’s talk. It’s not like it’s not going to happen if you don’t talk about it.

Ignoring the fact that Elaine has done nothing but complain about you for months now, the fact that anyone thinks that Elaine is smart enough to have successfully sockpuppeted your account for four years is incredible. As in, defies credibility.

you'd think that for a society that places so much value on women's ability to get pregnant, they would put more emphasis on educating young girls on how their body works

women being ignorant about periods and pregnancies leads to miscarriages and fatal pregnancies. girls deserve to know what periods are. if little boys know that they have a penis, then little girls should know that they have a vulva. they should also know that the vagina is literally inside of them and has nothing to do with their external genitalia

tell this to paranoid fundies and they'll think you're trying to rape children and turn them gay though

Some sex ed is so bad that some young girls think that they can't get pregnant if they aren't married, because all of the information ever given to them said that babies come from married couples. Children are very literal. You can't dance around the issue.

here

Also I think girls should be taught about birth control when taught about periods, not so much the pregnancy prevention aspects as making sure they know medications exist to treat heavy or bad periods. When I was in school we basically just got told to pop a midol and hope for the best. You don't have to be an adult to get shit like endo, PCOS, or PMDD and girls with those conditions shouldn't think their only option is to suffer in silence.

Hell, even learning about the existence of those conditions wasn’t something that happened til I was an adult. We didnt get taught shit about medical conditions that affect female anatomy or how to get help for them beyond breast self-exams.

That shit seems unrealistic since who the fuck wants a period, also having visible breasts=sexual harassment, particularly from adult men.

I hated developing early, and was deeply envious of girls who were late bloomers.

They also might not be taught about consent or what is or isn't ok in regards to abuse, especially if they're homeschooled or in a private religious school. It is a massive red flag when someone doesn't think kids should be taught good touch/bad touch type shit, proper body part names, and other abuse prevention shit or thinks it should be left to parents alone (since what parent that's molesting their kids wants them to know what they're doing isn't ok and how to alert authorities?)

Unfortunately it does. There are parents who can't even be assed to feed their kids properly, parents who refuse to teach their kids about their own bodies sadly aren't going to stop existing for the foreseeable future (especially with this new wave of trad LARPer types who I'm sure are going to have the same parenting skills are the fundies that came before them).

Especially since conservative religious types aren't going to stop hating and resenting women and everything to do with them any time soon (even their bodily functions).

The troon-bashing account "troonytoons" on twitter hit 70k followers and today has switched over to calling itself "Men Taking L's" and morphed into an overall man-bashing feed. Sassy move by her and pretty hilarious to think of all the butthurt and cognitive dissonance that must be going on amongst her (soon to be former?) conservative followers.
