Also don’t mentally elevate your earnest efforts to reconcile your personal perspective/make a valid political observation to some sort of martyrdom. If you’re talking truth, some will hear it and some won’t (and some are truly in it for the lulz, whether because they are awful people or merely teenaged/arrested shitposters who know nothing; their personal dysfunction isn’t your problem).

That said, none of us know everything. Not every idiot/ dysfunctional/ uninformed/ ignorant/ naive/ denial/ bullshit comment has even a nugget of worth or truth, but occasionally some backwards ape will stumble on a fair consideration. Point: not worth a pondering, or sacrificing time and energy bc you’re so good at it, or questioning yourself for not wanting to. If you feel or ARE imposed on, then listen to/ prioritize yourself and exit. They’ll find someone else’s ear to bend. An ask (explicit or assumed) does not obligate you.
