Just wondering, I've been browsing this thread for a few days and my fellow ladies seem pretty jovial towards the mod team while calling men in general "penis niggers" and claiming they have cut off all communication with men in their personal lives. Just wondering how you reconcile the two realities.

Nobody on KF condones these actions, it exists to hold people accountable for their actions and archive them so they can't memoryhole them. No, it's not OK for a teen to say terrible things. But a) teens are dumb and extreme, and b) it's been how many years? It's completely absurd to judge every person for what they did or said a decade or more ago, particularly when a decade ago they were very young and poorly equipped to deal with apparently very strong emotions of one type or another. And from what I can recall, the overall tenor of the relationship that many of the often-quoted comments/texts relate to was itself...weird and unhealthy.

That's not to say that teens are unaccountable for wrongs done, or that they can't cause harm or be horrible and unhinged-sounding. But it is grade-A retarded to seriously take the position that who a person was as a teen is always who they will forever be.

Most people get to move beyond the embarrassments and bad behaviors of their youth. They move, go to school or work, live in a different circle. Doing that in an autistic hyper-obsessive, antagonistic sphere where enemies and frenemies alike are looking for any opportunity to pull out old, wilted cards as a gotcha is very difficult.

Idk if Josh has directly publicly reflected on or disavowed his youthful poor behavior.
