I guess what I am referring to is the "you made me so angry" effect, aka the "crime of passion". Basically, from what I am told, men can be so motivated by impulse that certain insults to their person that are humiliating, but not life-threatening, lead him to commit assault and murder because he's just... that offended, or whatever. It's an excuse guys use to excuse behavior that does not comport with their self-image of being "a nice guy". It's a way for men to blame women for failing to manage men's emotions.

The typical version goes: "It's not my fault I [insulted you, hurt you, maliciously doxed your nudes, fucked your mom, kidnapped our baby, shot your dog... etc]. That is your fault because I am now feeling emotions I can't deal with, so I'm justified to lash out at you, and blame you, the woman, because I'm feeling feelings."

I understand somewhat what you’re talking about, albeit not in that context. I think that mainly that comes about as a result of entitlement mixed with what I mentioned in my previous post, that men often lack emotional intelligence because we are either never expected to have it, or are discouraged from developing it. Instead of dealing with the anger properly he might let it build until something snaps and he has justified to himself a violent response.
