In the US, IVF is more often used in cases where the woman has trouble conceiving because of low AMH/decreased egg reserve, or anatomical abnormalities. If you're going to go the donor route and the woman doesn't have issues, good old turkey baster is the way to go.

I know multiple women who have had kids through IVF, and every last one of those kids is bad as hell. One of them, I believe to be actually evil. And a close friend of mine who used to be a nanny when she was younger has noted the same thing. IVF kids are bad.

Unscientific observations, obviously, but it is rather curious. It's most likely because they were desperately wanted kids who get spoiled beyond reason after they're born, and not that they're spiritually cursed or some shit. Still a mark in the "cons" column for me though.

I feel like often times that kind of behavior is the result of people over correcting their beliefs. Or rather, they do a 180 on their beliefs because they for whatever reason decide to reject their old ones, but instead of using that opportunity to do some introspection and self reflection to come to their own conclusions they just go “well, what I used to believe was wrong. Therefore the opposite of my old beliefs must be 100% correct.” You see this often with people who leave religious groups, like ex-mormons, or ex-muslims. They often go from being very religious to being the absolute worst preachy edgy atheists.
It is perfectly understandable that a young woman who has just recently discovered radical feminism will be very angry, and will also be very eager to tell everyone who will listen about how much men suck and how much better women are. She used to have a somewhat positive outlook on men, so now she overcorrects and believes that any good feminist must actively hate men.

But the thing is that, at least in my opinion, this kind of extreme purism and general extremism, however righteous and good it might feel, is never very productive. In this case, something I heard on Ovarit is really useful to know. The opposite of love isn’t hate, but rather indifference.

Think about it like this. If you spend all day stewing upon your hatred for men, you are still spending your day thinking about men, rather than focusing on yourself, or helping other women. If you go out of your way to secure men’s distain rather than their approval, then you still care a lot about what men think of you. You still value male attention if you spend a bunch of energy trying to make men mad. You just value it in a different way.

Decentering men simply means not thinking about them, and not letting them be a priority in your decision making. Nothing more, nothing less. Often times infographics on decentering men go a bit too far and implore women to center other women instead, which isn’t necessary (and in my opinion is a bit counterproductive because it still falls into the assumption that women should put themselves last and do loads of emotional labor for others).

On a final note I think that women who aggressively try to purity spiral or try to say that a woman isn’t a true feminist if she does certain behaviors is really shooting her own cause in the foot. Most women are heterosexual, and most women also have at least one male in their lives that they care about. It isn’t a very appealing proposition to women who don’t already agree to say that women who are heterosexual and are in /are pursuing a relationship with a man should deny themselves or they aren’t real feminists. It’s not a good pitch to demand that women who have men in their lives that they care about to sever those connections for ideology.

It's hard to gauge, but whether or not to allow moid contribution has come up a few times and each time the response has always been vocally in favour of keeping moids who stay on topic and don't shit up the thread with moid rage and tired debate shit. This thread was not created as a moid-free zone, the DMZ got put up because enraged A&H incels and retards wouldn't stop seething into it in an attempt to get it shut down or abandoned, and the restrictions gradually became tighter and tighter to prevent a Heckler's Veto.

I've been posting here from the beginning, I encouraged this thread's creation and promised to help it grow before it was even made, and since the DMZ went up I've been told multiple times by both thread consensus and by moderation that we're welcome to keep posting here.
