Is anyone else reading the Thorp Family thread right now and getting pissed at all the moids shitting on Grace (aka the young woman who is being raped by her own father)? I get that the whole family is fucked up, but outright saying there's no hope for someone like her to ever live a semi-normal life away from abuse and that she needs a good not-daddy dicking to straighten her out is making me mati.

Relevant PL: I have a female relative who suffers from substance abuse issues and likely some sort of personality disorder. She has had bad episodes and burned a lot of bridges, but ever since moving out and away from the family and living on her own with occasional visits from her mother she's actually been doing great. If it's not the end of the world for someone like her, it's not for someone so young like Grace either.

I think if Grace wakes up to her situation and how fucked up her family is and can get away and live on her own, she can heal from this. It will never erase what happened to her or the things that she did, but I do believe if people like her get the support and help they need and get the fuck away from their families she will be much better. And moids, the absolute last fucking thing someone like her needs is some moid savior to come in and "lock her away in the kitchen" forever.

Unfortunately that's not what girls experience if they are GNC, they get told they're too old to be the way they are and get called dykes and whatnot for not starting to conform to feminity when they hit puberty. That's the real origin of tomboy being a term applied strictly to children, because girls are expected to stop being tomboys after a certain age (and get shat on if they don't).

It’s fair to state that there’s no easy path for former tomboys to keep being GNC as adults, which contributes to poonery. I got tomboy-ed and "Yeah, but you're not like a girl girl" until my late-20s and other than shitposting on boards I imagine that you and I have very different interests and personalities.
Like refer to yourself however you like, I'm not trying to pick a fight over this.

I personally hate the NLOGing that words like "tomboy" cause. I wasn't even "butch" in aesthetic when I was getting called a tomboy/NLOGed - people just didn't like the way I spoke and my general assertiveness. It was a way of trying to shame me into confirming.
