I think it's mainly because men only pay attention to twitch titty streamers and jerk off to "gamer girl" porn that they think there's no normal women playing games just for fun. It's just that those normal women don't even register to them.
When it comes to anything online women also used to and still do pretend to be men just because of how hard men sperg out if there is a girl present in their online game. They would hurl misogynistic insults at you constantly or ask for bobs and vagene, follow you around, try to kill you and harass you extra hard etc. so women who don't want that attention learned to be quiet and just go along with people assuming you are a man since man = default on the Internet. I think that also gives men the impression that it's a boys club where women aren't really present unless the woman draws attention to herself by announcing herself. Women were always there.
I have been allowing everyone to assume I am a man on the internet for almost two decades. It’s a bit isolating because I can’t connect with anybody outside of abstractions, but I would rather that than deal with being perceived as a potential sex object at all times. Also, it opens opportunities to do good that an actual man on the internet is too retarded to use.
I am respected as a cool and aloof dude because I don’t get into retarded slapfights, don’t hit on the homies’ girls when they aren’t around, don’t curate a porn addiction like a topiary and don’t harass the women. I make them feel safe instead and am capable of having conversations about their interests and feelings without acting like an ape. I have had to turn down many girlfriend offers. Multiple people have adopted me as a father figure replacing the wastes of flesh that have failed them offline. When men act like abusive faggots I tell them to kill themselves and their tardrage manifests in ways that cannot harm me or my ego because I’m anonymous and not one of them. The normal men I’m around are careful about how they act in my presence, as if I were their dad as well.
Let it be known that women are better at being men than men are, especially on the internet. The best part is that I don’t even have pronouns in bio and I’m not a tranny. I’m just doing what they’re all too much a bunch of fags to do themselves. Men have failed the world.
Sadly, I know that if I ever told any of these people that I’m actually female, everything I built up would probably perish in an instant, because they want a father/friendship with a good
man so they can go on living and feeling protected without hitting the despair event horizon. The couple of times I did try “coming out” were a disaster. But if it helps them to heal and learn about evil men from a “good one” since their fathers are absent/never bothered, I’m alright with it.
