Yeah, I've been here quite a while (too damn long, actually) but I honestly might end up dipping thanks to the moid mindset and how pervasive it is. This shit is so insidious, it's literally everywhere and moids don't even realize it, they just think they're based and redpilled and "waking up."

I mean, women get horny during ovulation. The rest of the month, not so much. 1-2 times a week is a very high number if you consider how the hormonal cycle works for most women.

It might be for most women, but this is not true for all women- and I mean a huge chunk of women. Speaking from experience here- involving both myself and a number of other women I've known, be it from a higher testosterone count or just being a more physically active person. The latter seems to be a big factor than I had originally expected, actually.

It's true that a large chunk of men literally give no fucks about women's arousal or pleasure, but let's not perpetuate myths about ourselves here.

This is the much bigger problem. Many of my friends were more than willing with their partners, but their partners were not willing to care for their pleasure; arguably worse, they insisted on stuff like nudes or sexting when my friends were completely uncomfortable with it. I've had similar experiences. Turns out women simply lose the want for being intimate with you when you bring up anal out of nowhere.

It's not that you're perpetuating a myth, it's that you're making it sound like our arousal is dependent on one slice of our hormonal clock. It's true that the end of ovulation GENERALLY marks a state of heightened arousal for most women, but that's most definitely not our main source of sexual desire.

Men and women tend to have considerably different understandings of sexual intimacy and require consistent communication and trust to be able to exist comfortably together. And more often than not, it is men who either try to go beyond that trust or think simply groping and pawing at your partner is good sexual communication.

Yesterday I watched my landlords house husband mill about the yard as their monthly maid cleaned the house. The guy had all the time in the world to clean, doesn't even have a job.

I can't get my self-employed WFH husband to clean the house either. He does pay for biweekly maid service though, which makes the in-between cleaning a little easier to tolerate. If I had to do it all myself, I'd get fed up with it pretty fast.

1-2 times per week is not "too high for women", we are not a monolith rigidly bound by reproductive hormone cycles. Whatever libido you have is very personal and doesn't mean you are somehow broken if yours is higher or lower than what a man or society as a whole deems correct.

I'm not marrying anyone who needs to pay someone else to ensure we don't live in filth. That's an inherent brokenness I don't need to put up with nor an expense I'd ever be okay with having if anyone is in the house awake for more than 5 hours a day. I would rather just live alone.

Ironically, my father cleaned the house regularly even working 14 hour days because my SAHM mentally ill mother did not. So I'm pretty sure men can clean up their space, at the very least. If you're not doing that you become a burden to live around.

The actual couple themselves is being less dramatic over their own divorce compared to the people reacting to it. It’s going to be hard on the kids, but I think the woman in particular is getting worse treatment over it, despite it being her full right to file for divorce if the marriage isn’t working.

I saw some people harping on why no fault divorce should be banned, but I’d argue it helps protect women and creates better outcomes on both sides. When no fault divorce wasn’t around, you had to do a lot more in the court of law to prove said marriage wasn’t working, and that typically meant having to show it was abusive, there was cheating, or there was criminal activity going on. If a couple can’t communicate effectively with each other, I think divorce should be allowed, but that would fall under the no fault divorce. A world where no fault divorce was illegal would mean that you’d have to prove what I mentioned above going on, and it isn’t always cut and dry, so a woman could potentially be stuck in a dangerous situation for years. Moids obviously won’t look into the legality of these issues and claim women only want these things for superficial reasons, but it is far from that.

Yes the men who go to the mats to ban no fault divorce are men who would like to be able to trap women in crappy marriages that fall short of outright abusive.

I can respect that. And he does *some* housework and chores... namely, washing baby bottles, mowing the lawn, and walking the dog.

Unfortunately, and maybe it's an American thing, or an only-child thing, but I've dated several different guys who were more or less dependent on the people (mostly women) around them to manage the laundry and cleaning. I find it tends to grind one down... am I going to pick a fight because of the messiness, or do I just skip that part, knowing that sharp words aren't going to get my house clean, and just clean it up myself?

I've been in relationships where guys would just play dumb and do the angry-manchild routine if you even tried to talk about this with them. So whatever de minimus housework my husband is willing to do plus him paying for someone to do the rest of his share, is acceptable to me, because I've had it way worse. But I am well aware that if our roles were reversed, and I was the SAHM doing legal translation work for a few hours a day, and he was the one working in town, that the expectation would be for me to clean it all.
