Oh this is missing reasons in so many ways, She asked him to get a job in september after 18 months of him being home , ok he cleaned up his act a bit. I am guessing they are arguing more is that she didnt asked him to just get a job but a plan to move out and when her patience ran out she told him he has 30 days to get out. He decided to one of the least successful ways to neck himself and its obviously he is being dramatic he wont wait for her to show up but when she is at work. Her flipping and saying they have been broken up is telling. My honest guess he tried to make her reconcile and she stop sugarcoating and bluntly told him he sucks and he put her through hell and he decided to be extra dramatic to shame and guilt her to keep him for few months untill he "recovers" . Moving in a woman right after is just another indicator they were probably done since november at very least thats like 6 months being broken up and her trying to be fair and gentle as possible.

I have struggled with severe suicidal depression in the past that I was thankfully able to overcome. The thing that helped me the most during that time was continuing to live my life while also developing new, healthy habits that got me out of the slump I was in, as well as lots of prayer and support from my friends in Church who I had been wrongfully been ignoring due to the aforementioned slump.

These people who put their lives on hold to "focus on [their] mental health" are never ever successful because that's not how it works. You aren't magically going to get better by quitting your job and hiding in your house all day like one of those eyeless fish at the bottom of the ocean. Refusing to face your problems is the opposite of masculine.

Naturally in true reddit fashion this story is probably missing a bunch of information that he's omitted to make him look good. One of the things I learned observing an ex-friend's breakup with his girlfriend is that people who are bitter and getting out of relationships will jump to the most absurd illogical extreme about everything, i.e her venting to her friends about the state of their relationship was, according to him, her exercising a polyamory fetish that she had secretly always had.

Even with his charitable one-sided interpretation it sounds like he quit his job due to muh focus on mental health, realized she'd keep supporting them both without having to work, and then just coasted on that until she finally confronted him about it.

One particularly unhinged one called a former friend’s employer to try to get her fired for the crime of calling him a furry faggot on the Internet. He was in his 40s and she was 17 for anyone curious. Then he spent the next several months to years over Skype and Facebook straight up obsessing over this person to the point of commissioning NSFW fetish drawings depicting her character.

I ghosted him and his friends, and have for over a decade. He is the reason why if I see anyone, Moid or not, being unable to let shit go then I don’t associate. People like that have deep seated issues (usually, they’re control freaks from my observation).

Because of a guy from my travelling group, who I had to cut off and block everywhere, cos he was angry at me for being ''evil'' and arguing with him, but those arguments only happened in his head.

I want to say “I didn’t know better, but in hindsight I should’ve picked up on the red flags the moment he’d go after anyone that left the online clique. Worst part is that it's not immediately obvious, because sometimes a bad fallout with an ex may come up in a random conversation and you listen to it thinking that a person is just talking about their experience in the context of the topic. Then they do it again. And again... And again... And again... and after 100x more times, along with watching their other patterns, you end up realizing that something is off but it may be too late and if you cross them you'll be that "bad" person they will gossip about with others.
