Some of them seem to express attraction to men... but in the most pornographic way possible.
 
Not trying to guntguard here, but I'd also like to add that the women who are into gayshit exist on a spectrum just like the ones into hetshit do. On one end, you have the girlies who love fluffy coffee shop AUs and soulmates and holding hands. On the other, you've got the freaks who whack it to tentacle rape tickle torture scat porn ft. shotas and femicide. The latter should absolutely be squinted at, but the former shouldn't be lumped in with them because their only "sin" is having a touch of the 'tism. It's the same thing as calling all anime fans degenerates when that group consists of both the trannies who dilate to Onimai and borderline normies who enjoy DBZ.

I could write an essay about how unjustifiably persecuted fujos are because of how many disingenuous individuals cherry-pick the freak shit and go SEE? WOMEN ARE SUCH DEGENERATES! As if men aren't into tentacle rape tickle torture scat porn ft. lolis AND shotas AND femicide too. As if no other genre of media has ever had any freak shit in it before. As if every single fujoshi on the planet has the exact same set of tastes. As if we're not seeing an uptick in degeneracy across the board thanks to how social media algorithms (and modern media in general) push more and more extreme content onto people over time.

I know fujos have been looked down upon for a long time, and there are some behaviors within the community that are indeed really fucking annoying or concerning. But there is zero nuance in discussions about yaoi/BL/fujotism these days. It almost always boils down to the same mentality that plagues discussions about romantasy novels: this is a genre by and for those silly wamminz, and it does not make my own personal peepee hard, so therefore it's bad.

More like just pattern recognition and observation of general behavior of a group of people. Newsflash, but the freak shit is pretty damn common amongst fujos, and just because fujos are women doesn’t mean we should just let them off the hook, just like we don’t let pick mes or handmaidens slide either just because they’re women. A lot of reasons why there are feminists who really dislike fujos is because of how blatantly misogynistic they are and how hostile they are towards any female character, like female characters shouldn’t even exist in any medium. Yes, I also already knew that a lot of them have been through sexual trauma, which is terrible and sad, but it should only serve as an explanation for their behavior and not an excuse (and I know Big Miss Steak wasn’t defending or excusing them btw, I’m just saying that in a general sense). I’m sorry, but at the end of the day, I still really dislike them.

Also how come it seems like when anybody mentions literally anything about fujos, there’s gotta be at least one person barging in acting all defensive about it and trying to give their own type of “counter argument” towards it?

Maybe we need a Fujo Hate Thread in Gorl Tawk if there isn’t already one, because otherwise it would just be misogynistic men in there.

I could easily say "I hate roller coasters" here and a bunch of roller coaster enthusiasts are not going to barge in and start yelling about how roller coasters aren't hurting anyone and "omg just let people enjoy things." Fact is, you can't talk about fujos anywhere on the internet without one crawling out of the woodwork to defend the honor of their beloved Onceler slash Sans Undertale hurt/comfort omegaverse mpreg. This is simply because, unlike roller coaster enthusiasts, they're all terminally online. It's practically a prerequisite for being a fujoshi. The internet is full of them like it's full of trannies.
