I stated elsewhere in this thread that I work in a male-dominated space. Most of my social circle, inside and outside of work, is men. Men gossip and shittalk behind closed doors as much as women. Military men, even more so.
I've shown up to prom in the same dress as another girl and we both thought it was hilarious. I've accidentally sorta-matched other women many times and we thought it was funny. There are some insecure women who do put a lot of emphasis on standing out, and will get upset if someone matches them, but this is an overplayed stereotype that really doesn't happen often. Like white women and dogs.
Healthy communication and relationships isn't rocket science. What women are looking for in a partner isn't rocket science. If you are so unfamiliar with what women are looking for in a romantic partner that you have to play a guessing game with how you speak to them, then you need to learn more about healthy relationships and communication.
