A woman getting talk therapy from a moid is a legitimately bad idea. To some degree or another, in various areas, all men have solipsism and lack empathy where they have either sympathy or nothing else at all. We're talking about an absolutely massive demographic where the average person can binge thousands of hours of porn over varying periods of time, and yet on average would draw a vagina where a man's penis would be. They believe that women ejaculate, believe that women are sex crazed, etc. They are generally often not capable of comprehending what's outside of themselves.
The existence of the Thunderdome proves the need for the existence of therapy.
Unless you've been diddled or saw your friend get shot overseas or have schizophrenia, you don't need to be in therapy. And the goal should always be, long-term, to get out of therapy. I saw a therapist once or twice during a serious depressive episode years back. It helped immensely, and he was a man by the way, but the key thing to bear in mind here is that I went once or twice. I didn't keep going.
Several of the guys I used to play video games with once or twice a week fell in love with me (I really think it was limerence. not love) and started talking about moving states to be with me, the life we could have together after marriage, etc. Unfortunately you have to just go cold turkey no-contact with men when they get to this point. There's no rationalizing with them and they won't be able to suppress their feelings and have a normal friendship with you.I once had casual sex with an acquaintance and afterwards he decided he was ~in love~ with me. Literally the next day he started planning our wedding day and picking out kids' names. I thought he was kidding so I laughed and told him I wasn't interested in dating (this was very clear beforehand, too) and he flipped out so hard that he threatened to kill himself over me for an ENTIRE. YEAR. AFTERWARD. He sent me pics of himself with a gun to his head like "if you don't respond in 15 minutes I'm pulling the trigger", sent me pics of his cut up arms like "you did this" and would leave me things on my doorstep just to hammer home that he knew where I lived. This guy is the reason I stopped dating, because that whole experience shaved at least a decade off of my lifespan.
