I tried getting into this autism simulator after watching null stream it a few years ago. I played on beestation and kept spawning inside of some kind of backroom and couldn't find a way to get the doors open or anybody to help so I just dropped it after getting bored. I would try getting back into it if a new kiwi server immerges any time soon. Speaking of that ss13 stream I'm pretty sure that may be lost to time unless someone has an archive on hand. I can't find it anywhere on odyseey or youtube and the only archive of it I was aware of was on the mad at the internet channel that recently had all of it's videos shoah'd.

That's really weird since late-joiners arrive on the shuttle and aren't normally spawned on station to prevent that sort of thing. KiwiStation is probably not coming back online for a while, if ever. All high-pop servers on the hub currently are janny-cucked pozholes and I would only recommend playing on any of them if you are new and just trying to understand how the game plays. There are no alternatives right now that I know of, besides having everyone jump into a dead server for a gamenight or something. SS13 is more or less dead unless you like ERP or kissing up to adm*n circlejerks. Maybe someone will bring up a new free server that isn't shit someday.

It's way too much work for what amounts to 10~30 people at any given time. Keeping the station up and playable is literally a full time job. It's several magnitudes more work than the forum.

They are? Gross. I like SS13 because of the insular culture of autistic injokes. A good community is literally the only thing that makes that game work, otherwise all you get is low IQ shitlords running around murderboning, not doing their role and fucking everyone else's day up. Summertide was one of the worst times to be on tgstation for that exact reason. Trying to court the market of 'fuckstick LP'ers' is a real bad move.

I have no problem with shit and pisscode especially because it enables stuff like throwing your own shit at the Head of Security and or being that one madlad who went streaking all the time and pissed on the floor to evade security. Its pretty funny, but its pretty obvious fetish content in its implementation he tried to push here, sort of like the stinklines shit tg used to have.

Also four second stun for pissing yourself? I dont think any server with shit+piss in any capacity actually punishes you like that beyond a bad moodlet.

One of my favorite SS13 moments was Not long after there was a successful push to remove shit from Goonstation. You could get around that completely if you knew how though.

An Admin was running around as a wizard Doing some adminbus whatever the fuck gimmick, So i got a wizard costume from QM and stole into botany and janitorial for their fertilizer/Spray bottle.

Admin was very irate when the cosplaying HoP (with the custom job of 'Shitmagician') interrupted his cool gimmick to blast him with shit whilst screaming 'EI SHIT'

Once released he would pester the chemist to give him fentanyl or constantly claim everyone is racist.

To be fair, SS13 despite people claiming its like Among us but with more freedom and fun. really does seem to just be a roleplay sim. not much to do unless you're causing chaos or deeply devoted to your stupid job. plus like others said the place is obnoxiously huge for 10 people, everyone ends up doubling up on jobs, or neglecting one part of the station. just going around the station was a pain. it would be cool seeing what it would be like with 100 people. that way the space station simulator would actually feel cool and people might be able to fulfill their objectives.
