just appoint some admins for various time spans

it's literally the only ss13 server which isn't 100% run by absolute faggots

I volunteer for mid-day US time byond key is soy2

the amount of admin action needed is extremely small.. once in a while some shitlords will come on and try to multi-key grief or whatever, it's completely obvious and could be easily remedied

Rest in Peace KiwiStation, you were too pure for this world. Like most good things, people taking advantage of it ruined it.
I would try to come up with a way to fix things, but this kind of shit always happens with SS13 servers.

Most of the people playing asking for admin are not suitable to be admins. Make the wrong people admin, and you drive away people that aren't tards. Half the server cannot follow basic Med-RP rules.

Sterlok for example runs around every round with loud speak voice on constantly (no matter what job he has), no capitalization, no punctuation, and frequent OOC in IC. He wants to be an admin.

I could be a good admin, but have no special attachment to the server and am not sure if I want to invest my time and energies. So I'm probably not your guy.

who the fuck cares about peoples text jesus christ that's the gayest thing I've ever heard anyone say

just temp ban or job ban people who do blatantly antag shit when they're not antag and let people have fun otherwise

Also you don't need to deal with upstream. You could just have a legacy /tg/server dated Jan 21 with the gay shit removed.

The host cares, look at the rules he wrote you idiot. Also evidently there was a big fallout cause he hated no-RPing tards like yourself and changed to Med RP.

I know, but thats a bug that happened once already as far as i know of. there are currently a couple of people who were able to spawn as spawners and found their way on the station, but the shuttle is simply not departing so the round cant end

I went on tonight to try and see what was going down. Lots of people still wanna play it and are enjoying the server as is. And the pop has apparently been getting higher again. I can see why the issue of dealing with trannies is a pain in the arse; but the actual server seems to have a relatively dedicated playerbase that'd be pretty disheartened to see it go. I've enjoyed my time playing on kiwi. We seem to be getting around about or above what bagil is getting in terms of players joining.

  2. Without me playing, the server is mostly unmoderated.
  3. I am too busy to moderate.
  4. The pop has tanked because there are no admins online ever, which has killed its traction.
  5. I wanted to fork out bad changes from /tg/ upstream, but because of how rapidly /tg/'s upstream changes, even maintaining that is a considerable amount of work.
  6. Dealing with upstream means dealing with /tg/ trannies and is incredibly mentally taxing and circularly defeats point #1.
Unless anyone has any objections I'll probably close it by the end of the month.

1: you just need to build a stable group of people who can admin consistently and then you can just deadmin and play the game
2: same as above; get admins that actually play the server
3: same as above as above, you won't need to moderate if you get some good admins
4: once again, above. i don't doubt the server could go back to normal if we got some admins.
5 & 6: no real solution for this, /tg/ gonna be shit

please don't shut the server. if we could get some people who can actually *admin* then it would be fine.

I can understand why Null is considering scrapping the whole thing, he's got a lot on his plate as it is, but I hope he changes his mind.

In the last week or so, the population seems to be recovering somewhat, and a lot of the regulars that do play appear to be enjoying themselves mostly.

It would be great to see the server stay up, but if it doesn't then thanks for the run, hope to see some of you guys around elsewhere.

The sever has been one of the best times I've had playing games in awhile, many of the issues could in my humble opinion be fixed with a few more jannies and some MATI stream shilling or other means of getting it out there. KS13 serves as a nice subsection of the Internet to hang out in without worrying about anything.

yo, when johan got on to admin, we had good pop. ~25 people. there are still people who care we just need admins

we needs people to testify here. have you ever been forcibly erp'd by murdoch murdoch/sterlok? he's done it to me and other people have said so. if you have screenies, post 'em

edit: he's been forcibly ERPing and killing people randomly when admins aren't on. i asked johan to ban him and told him my side but he needs real proofs
