This community has some real gems.
Somebody from the early OSRS days is EmilyIsPro. She was/is a streamer who was exposed for faking cancer for donations, using viewbots, etc. Mod Mat K used to simp her streams and ban anybody harassing her ingame. There was a lot of riots over this too. Unfortunately it's from around ~2014 so most of it is from now deleted youtube/twitch clips/reddit threads.

So OSRS recently held a huge PVP esports tournament, but the server they hosted it on must've been a half empty jar of marmite because everyone who participated experienced game breaking lag. Needless to say, its an explosive community-wide drama and they've been rioting and sperging about it since the results were posted. This streamer "Odablock" was apparently on track to win the thing before Jagex killed those dreams in it's crib with a heavy dose of buffering. Anyways, here's a beautiful (and highly quotable) video of him watching the official commentary on the fight he lost and going completely ape shit, even calling his mother to screech at her.

I get that Jagex can't seem to host a tournament properly to save their life, but:
1. The combat is still RNG based
2. If you're really "that" good at a game, lag is irrelevant
3. Even without the lag, I doubt the results would of been much different for the tournament overall.


This tournament was also my introduction to Odablock. Instantly I have 0 respect for him. I genuinely believe if he had lost "legitimately", he would still chimp out like this. This dude is a child.

I used to partake in OSRS, have a pretty good account I may go back to someday. Just curious. Way back when The Donald was still around reddit, OSRS subreddit allied with them during one of those April Fool's events. Honestly OSRS players have to be some of the most autistic and insufferable cunts I've ever played with.

Most of them probably were other teens. It’d be a lie if I said my friends and I never tried to get free gibs with a female character in the mmos we played (don’t even have to do a gay larp, just asking for stuff works with a female avatar). But it was funny to call the obvious ones out still and usually they dropped it after one attempt.

There was one in particular though that I remember getting really mad and unhinged because he took it personally and really wanted to prove he was a woman. He was also a bit more forward than the rest. Maybe he was annoyed that I ruined his grift with someone else or even less likely he was an autistic woman.
