I reading too much into this? Are old people just mad because they aren't kids anymore?

Maybe not a fan of Lou Reed, his attitude, or at least his voice? I know people who like oldies but can't stand Bob Dylan for similar reasons. How anyone could be mad listening to Sweet Jane is a mystery to me.

I could see being annoyed by their Warhol era stuff, which is often deliberately discordant and obnoxious but anyone who doesn't like Loaded just has shit taste.
