This made me realize that a lot of Chris's favorite TV shows also happen to be shows that seem to run forever (Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy). I wonder how Chris adapts when a show he likes goes off the air? It's something he doesn't seem to deal with very often.

With the Cleveland show he's probably seen all the episodes already when they've come out, and bought all the DVDs.

Good riddance. This is the only news story that actually made me feel joy since 1997. Now all we need to do is take that racist, homophobic garbage Family Guy off the air. American Dad can stay, though. That one's just kind of meh. Seth shouldn't be allowed to touch it though, like a divorced father with 10 assault charges under his belt. He just shouldn't be allowed on TV, really.

^ actually I would say he is less wannabe progressive, more fixiated on preaching at those "beneath" him. That way he can continue producing unfunny and tedious drek that insults and condescends to the very people and causes he pretends to be champion, while still living in a smug bubble of self righteousness.

Personally i just feel annoyed familiy guy didnt stay dead when it was first canned, and that something of actual originality and/or talent could have taken it's place.

Three Thoughts:

1) I pay so little attention to the antics of Seth MacFarlane nowadays that I kinda assumed Da Cleveland Show was cancelled along time ago. (In the words of the late great Roger Ebert: "No-one ever went broke pandering to the bad taste of the American viewer.")

2) Weird how, back in the 90's Fox would make awesome shows, and then almost instantly cancel them....and now they make cookie-cutter drivel and refuse to cancel it. (in the words of Henry Rollins: "Its easy to get too much of a good thing, waaaay to much of a bad thing, and diabolically too much of a shitty thing.")

2) Oh suuuuuurrrrreeeee, when it comes time to decide which of Seth's carbon-copy Family Guy clones to cancel....it just gotta be the BLACK one, right? (in the words of Lars McNulty: "Yo dawg, why y'all gotta be all racial and shit? Shits not cool, ya feel me?")
