This made me realize that a lot of Chris's favorite TV shows also happen to be shows that seem to run forever (Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy). I wonder how Chris adapts when a show he likes goes off the air? It's something he doesn't seem to deal with very often.

This is actually a really good question. I mean since his becoming a lolcow there have been cancellations of shows that he likes (Hannah Montana comes to mind). That said these cancellations seem to get Chris's interest very briefly and are mentioned once or twice. Others are things like Transformers or Sonic. Those either get a new series fairly quickly (Sonic was like this in the 90's) or have movies to fill the void (Transformers).

I love me some South Park but Chris's reaction to it being cancelled would be fascinating. I wonder how he felt with the "Everything's Shit" episode and it looked like a series finale. Of course he probably didn't catch that bit since it wasn't totally obvious besides blatant poo jokes.

Now I think of it as "That show that doesn't even resemble what it was when it was funny". Yeah, it didn't happen overnight. There were 2-3 good post-revival seasons. The "Brian" era really started in full swing when Obama was elected. With a Democrat in the White House, suddenly picking on the government was no longer "edgy", so the show became self-absorbed.

I have to agree with you there. Family Guy has sort of become the 13 year old boy of animated shows. Most of its stuff is lolxDsorandom1111 and the rest is just "Oh my gosh this is sort of offensive so its automatically hilarious" shit. And the reason is that Seth knows that Family Guy doesn't need to try anymore. American Dad! is sorta good, it has Roger and, well, he's great. But every five minutes there's another unfunny completely pointed anti-white conservative Christian joke. I don't get offended by those, but it's at the point where the jokes aren't even jokes, they're just Seth spewing off about how bad conservatives are.
