Elbaf is not going to be the final location so we're not in the final arc.

We've got the end game in sight but there's Elbaf, the ponygryphs, Blackbeard, Imu and One Piece all still to get through at a minimum. Basic shonen rules states there's going to be another form in there somewhere.
Luffy first needs to actually struggle before a new powerup proper is needed. Vs the Gorosei he wasn't great at doing damage to them, but they weren't doing shit to him either. Once we see Luffy properly struggle (get his shit kicked in by Teach for example), the possibility of a new form could be on the table.

If anybody needs power ups it's mostly the non monster foursome crowd (except Nami, Zeus was a very nice power up).
and Vergo, who got his ass murdered by Lawl
On Vergo's defence, it was during the "Law can do whatever the fuck he wants" period. While rereading through Punk Hazard and Dressrosa I found it incredibly funny how in Punk Hazard he was doing anything and everything yet in Dressrosa he suddenly is talking about "stamina" and not doing even half the feats he achieves in Punk Hazard, was one of those moments where Oda noticed he made him too powerful and had to dial it back later. Similar to Robin, who changed from "how the fuck do you fight her" with her arms coming out of nowhere and doing joint lucks to "she makes big hands and slaps things!" which is a lot more manageable and can be sold as an improvement when in reality, she was a lot scarier before.

I wish Robin kept doing that, even against people she can't neck-snap it's an insane support move. She has basically no fights in the new world, it'd be so easy to put her in a 2v2 with anyone else.

Everyone talks about Robin's lack of fights (for good reason) but damn do I wish Chopper could stop being so useless in battle. Since Fish-Man Island, he hasn't taken down a single prominent opponent. Makes it more jarring since he did get to fight a decent amount before the timeskip, unlike Robin.

It's so damn easy to use Robin's giant moves to make her a discount Luffy alongside other body-horror-themed moves. But Oda just won't do it because he only sees Robin as eye candy. She could've kicked Diamante's ass even while carrying that damn bouquet.

I still remember the first fight Robin had after joining the Straw Hats was just her snapping necks like crazy. She even has a new Devil Trigger form that she just never uses ever. It sucks because even though Nami is ALSO fanservice, she also gets fights (and new weapons).

Its because she's so powerful that he can't use her for anything. Her losing with such an OP ability is basically impossible and breaks any narrative tension in any fight. Oda just fucked up by not giving her restrictions and that is why her fights are always so lame.

It always seems to be the Straw Hats that aren’t the monster duo/trio that get the short end of the stick. And if they don’t get any moments to shine in the final war, I think folks are gonna get pissed.

I'm going to be pissed if Robin and Usopp don't get any moments to shine in Elbaf. I'm surprised with how little Jinbe did in Egghead despite how much of a powerhouse he was hyped up to be before joining the Straw Hats. It's like those JRPGs that have a former boss that was strong join the party just for them to be really weak.

At this point, all this shafting of “lessers” is going to get ridiculous.

Most of you do not understand how Robin 's powers work: 1) Growing extra body parts leaves her extra vulnerable to DFs like the Hobby Hobby and the Logias that produce a harmful element like fire or magma. 2) She is still limited by her physical strength. 3) If her DF limbs get hurt, her real limbs will too. 4) Her powers work best on those weaker than her, those not expecting her and those that do not know how to deal with that kind of power. They are very useful but they are not making her invincible. Of course she would struggle as she faced opponents that were stronger than mooks and had a better fight IQ.

Luffy's the main character. Zoro got a lot of love in Wano because samurai. Usopp will assuredly have a big role in Elbaf. Sanji was practically the main character of Whole Cake Island. Nami had some focus in Fish-Man Island due to Arlong. Then we get Egghead where Franky, Vegapunk's biggest fan and the Straw Hat that'd understand the island the most and benefited the best out of a lot of interactions with Vegapunk, got basically jackshit.

I know the East Blue Straw Hats are the more "central" ones but it's getting frustrating how little of a shit Oda seems to give the latter half of the crew. Robin especially is the most important person in the world in regards to finding the One Piece but barely gets any spotlight since Enies Lobby.

And here I was thinking the only love was going to the monster duo/trio.

Him and Carrot beat Brulee and Diesel. They weren't strong characters but Brulee being beaten and captured was instrumental in making the arc work.

so of all the straw hats that have devil fruit powers who do you think has the potential to fully awaken their power and if so what would the awakened form allow them to do? i could see chopper being able to transform without rumble balls and maybe even getting a form better than monster point. i would also be curious as to what robin would be able to do as well.

If we're being consistent with other paramecias, she'd be able to turn everything around her into more of herself.

I'm not sure if Diesel could really be considered a prominent character, and that was a teamup anyway. I meant Chopper beating someone all by himself.

Done with Whole Cake. On to Reverie.

Surprised to see Oven get out of that one alive, after killing Pound I was sure he was a dead man walking.
