and cover story has now ended
What a fucking waste of a cover story.

Chapter itself is dense as fuck. Garp is certainly aware of shit now. Kuma is the real mvp. Kaido fucking over Linlin was fun and one has to wonder the terror Katakuri would have been with that.

Rocks found himself a good woman, but I am expecting Rocks to get flipped and require all involved to team up to take him down. I'm also convinced taking down his captain is what broke Kaido.

Garling eating shit vs Rocks was also nice. Goddamn I love the real king of the pirates.

No, Kaidou was still cheerful when he met King.

It's pretty fucking obvious to me that Rocks will become a demon and Garp and Gol will mercy kill him.
As good a reason as any for Garp to get that “Hero” title.

Also, with all this demon stuff, it’s going to be interesting to see how Oda writes the true history of the world, especially since Garp’s conversation with Sengoku is helping to really set up how the Celestial Dragons hold the true control of power that isn’t just “being entitled to act like complete and total dicks”.

So I am not the only one who doesn't really care what Yamato is doing right now lol. We got heavy hitting lore right now and she's out getting ice cream.
I never gave a shit about the plight of Wano to be honest, Kinemon and Momonosuke never really won me as temp crew mates. And Yamato I was already pretty meh on before trannies latched on to her which just increased my disdain for her. I was expecting the eternal cover story to be a setup for when Teach comes in to take Pluton, but it didn't even achieve that. It was also boring as sin, no real fun anywhere to be had and the only neat lore morsel was Moria, if it at least had just been like 10 covers since there is not really content worthy of more, it would have been fine. I would have much rather had a fun cover story focused on some random character with no particular relevance, hell, show me how Jango or Kuro are doing, that's how little I care about Wano.

This may just be sleepy brain talk, but Yamato is supposed to be an exaggerated take on your typical fangirl, right? Maybe her pilgrimage across Wano was supposed to be her take on how Oden did it, the thing is, she's deluded herself into thinking it was a real big deal when in actuality it was just nothing more than a sight-seeing trip when all she was sent to do just deliver a package.

Granted, she had never been outside to see Wano so her going on these detours was to be expected. Never has it crossed her mind that her "pilgrimage" was just a nothingburger.

We learned that Moria is a Kozuki...and nothing else. Also Page One and Ulti have a new bad parental figure to look up to.

Re The Cover story : I dunno how you all expected it to go, its not like Wano is some untamed Land anymore, Oden kind of fixed up the only place that a hive of scum 30 years ago. The fact that Yamato recruited Ulti and Page One and Beat up what's his face was more excitement than I was expecting. Also Kinemon and Ulti looking at each other being like "How the fuck did you end up here?" and Ulti responding "Fuck if I know man."

wonder the terror Katakuri would have been with that.
I dunno, given how good Katakuri ended up being with Observation Haki The Mochi Fruit allowing him to attack from more than one source at once might be overall better than being a Dragon as well as being able to Mochi his body like a Logia.

Don't get me wrong I like her design and DF but the whole "I'M ODEN" thing got old real fast so the fact that every cover so far has been carrying that joke doesn't sit right with me.

I’m just wondering if Yamato will be made a Straw Hat before the final war. Or if we get a scene where Pluton is revealed and Yamato is made the captain of it before the final war to give Yamato a moment that can’t be seen as continuing the Oden LARP.

worse case scenario the larp gets "justified" as she joins the SH and mirrors how Oden was a part of the Roger and Whitebeard Pirates at one point. If she's gonna join the crew I would absolutely love her goal to be finding her own person. Not for Oden, not for Kaido but a journey for find who Yamato is and pretty much leave all the nonsense that happened in Wano behind so when she comes back she's a new person but peolpe still respect her for who she is not who she wants them to think she is. of course my tin foil hat thinks it won't stop people from thinking this is an allegory for tranny bullshit of "finding your true self" but in all honesty it would be funny for her to do this Oden LARP and realizing how pointless it is because she feels it's not who she really wants to be despite being respected.
