I feel like Buggy can both bluff his way into it after everything is over and he will be protected by idiots after that. As Pirate King, everyone will be after him,
Nah i mean that in the "Only a D. Clan member can claim title of "King of the world"

That all determines on if the final war is settled or not. And then there’s the part of Luffy’s real dream, which was the same one Roger had, and IIRC what Koby vowed to prevent from becoming reality. I feel like if anything is explained, it’s always in the form of what happened in the past, some future prophecy, or either of those things explained in the context of whatever Luffy is currently doing. I doubt Oda is just going to do a straight exposition dump.

Oda has repeatedly stated that the final battle/war is triggered by finding the One Piece not before as far as whatever the One Piece is, Luffy finally finding it or the damn mystery being exposed to everyone, is what triggers the final ultimate battle that ends the series.

Well, that’s probably just more evidence that it counters Imu’s powers, relates to The Great Kigdom, or both.

i still hold strong in my belief that buggy is going to be framed as the actual hero in the end. people will hear about nika and how he freed slaves and made people laugh and they are going to go "hey buggy freed a bunch of people from marineford and he is very funny he was also on rogers ship"

i saw post on twitter pointing out how fate seems to be forcing buggy along rather he wants to go or not and it makes me think we will end up seeing buggy have a moment where he finally accepts things maybe whenever him and shanks meet up again. if they ever do.

The final scramble for laugh tale is gonna be a cluster fuck.
as it stands right now we have 3 groups that even have a shot at reaching laugh tale. the question is will shanks and his crew make it that far or are they going to be more of a final test of skills before giving up and passing the torch to luffy and the straw hats? there is also the matter of the final poneglyph as far as i am aware nobody has it but part of me wonders if blackbeard has it already.

he has been doing a fair amount in the background and if dragon is the man with the burn scar that has the final poneglyph blackbeard could have gotten it when he raided the revolutionary armys base ages ago.

I know he will take credit for something but I am not sure what. Defeating a powerful marine perhaps?

Saves Shanks from Shamrock lol

Edit no better yet, Shamrock tries to pass as Shanks to trick Luffy, ends up fighting Buggy who is convinced Shamrock is Shanks.

People see Shamrock go demon, think Skanks is evil

Sooooooo, theory confirmed I guess. It does cheapen the sacrifice of the arm though. I liked how he had sacrificed it to make a point to Luffy. It makes sense too but it is not the same. I suppose finding Joy Boy made him be willing to part with his arm but still.

Except he didn't make a point to Luffy. He just wanted to make sure Luffy was safe.

Except there was nothing to suggest Shanks had found Joy Boy. For all we know, Shanks was saving the Gum Gum fruit for Ace.
