Talk about a drop in quality.
One Piece would've been better off if Oda knew how to be concise and not drag out a mid story for fucking decades. The manga would've ended in 2009 at the latest if Oda took even the most basic college level writing classes.
Yes if only the writer of one of the longest running and best selling Manga in history had taken a basic college writing course.

Hey just wanted to pop in and mention that I'm really happy for Loki's Fruit being a Dragon. Because I loooove Dragons, and it's an awesome Dragon to boot! Still waiting on a Tyrranosaurus Fruit character though, and I'm still shocked that we haven't seen one yet.
I am a tad disappointed the fruit is yet another Mythical Zoan (which at this point are as numerous as Logias) and it's another dragon.

But...it is a really fucking cool dragon, so I can't be mad.
Tell that to poor Monet! I don't even know if her sister Sugar knows about her death!
You know, I just realized that, yeah, I don't think Sugar was ever made aware of Monet dying. Not that we see, unless I'm forgetting something?

Loki's dragon form looks like the Punk Hazard Dragons. Also, there was such a t-rex character in an SBS.

It's believed Hanafuda may have had the T-Rex DF, though nothing offical's come out on if he did or if that was one he was trying to get in his collection.

He was already known as "The King of Lizards". He also collected Ancient Zoans for Kaido. We can dance around it but in the end, unless Oda states otherwise, that is basically canon.

You do realize that the manga running for an excessively long time is why it's the best selling right? Besides, you're acting as if a story becoming heavily monetized is an indication of how well written it is.
If people had gotten sick of it, it would not sell and it would have been axed. It gains new readers every year instead.

Probably because pre-timeskip is half decent resulting in people getting hooked. They will then tolerate the even more shitty pacing of post-timeskip. Something something something sunk cost fallacy.
Half-decent?! You are under the impression that a "half-decent" first part is enough to sustain a fanbase for more than a decade? To buy the new volume releases too? How about the fact that One Piece apparel still sells like hotcakes? You think people spend money on clothes featuring people they do not like? How about the One Piece statues? Do you think people who did not like Doflamingo or Kaidou or Nika would spend that much money on a small statue? How about the movies and the Ovas? Do you think people would pay for something that is not even canon unless it features people they like? And there is also a card game. Do you think they would make a dying brand into a card game? Do you have any idea how much of a waste that would have been?

One Piece has surpassed BATMAN in sales! Do you think it has been around LONGER than Batman? Or that it had more goodwill than Batman? Sunk cost fallacy has its limits. Stop smoking copium.

sunk cost fallacy applies to things that are on the decline, but not enough to get axed. most people will filter out of something if its quality takes a nosedive. if the thing continues to persist past that, it's the guys running the series that are suffering sunk cost. that's just bad business. most people aren't filtering out of one piece, and it appears that it's still such a draw that shonen jump treats it like the main attraction BECAUSE IT IS

I was going to bring up the fact that in your defense, lots of titles that have "gotten bad" still get merchandise that sells billions, look at The Simpsons but then I remembered the main difference between One Piece and The Simpsons is that One Piece is a continuing story where people are excited as to where it goes. The Simpsons and other "gotten bad" shows on the other hand have no reason to continue and every episode is an entire reset.

Well yes.
You underestimate how willing the average person is to watch and read literal garbage. Look at Stranger Things and literally every Grey's Anatomy copy and you'll see that I'm right.

Not enough to keep it thriving. ST and GA have nothing on One Piece. In reality, you need an expanding fanbase for that. Tell me, how many athletes made ST references in the Olympics? When was it the last time that GA made the international news? GA has viewers but no fans. ST will fall off too now that it ended with a gay guy sucking the air out of the room. One Piece still gains new fans. People make content about it all the time. There are dedicated channels. Yes, people will watch slop. Just not for long. Look at Marvel. Both the comics and the movies fell off the moment they became shit. Same goes for DC. Fans have a limit. Manga dominates because people like them. If they did not, they would have fallen off too.

If your entire argument is just gonna be "Oh well One Piece is more popular therefore it's good" then you're a retarded fag just like the rest of the fandom. My criticism for its absolutely dogshit pacing is not negated by anything you've said so far.

The problem with One Piece isn't that the pacing is bad, the problem is that the kind of story it is has to be told over the course of 30+ years because there's just so much to write down. Every arc has a purpose, be it worldbuilding or building up to the climax of a saga. Punk Hazard to Wano is an entire decade going off of manga publication of buildup from Ceasar making SMILEs and the introduction of the samurais, to the battle between Kaido's SMILE army and the samurais. You can't cut any of that. The fact that an ongoing story like this hasn't crashed and burned is astounding, moreso when you look at all the other mangas that started since the beginning of OP and got big, only to burn down by the end. Example: Attack On Titan

Not really.
One Piece is a cash cow and Oda will drag on the story forever to make himself and the publishers money. I promise you, doing some basic revisions and cutting would bring 100+ chapter arcs like Dressrosa down to 25 or 30. I'm completely ok with the 5 trillion replays of that one girls backstory in dressrosa getting cut and I'm fine with Wano having 100 less chapters of either fucking nothing happening or the fights continuing with a stalemate.
It's almost as if the story should've taken 400-600 chapters to complete and so Oda has to add in a minimum of 2-3 chapters of fucking filler and characters reacting to shit each time he has a chapter with something happening so he keep it going.
